Explore the nearby town of Strabane by embarking on a walk along Strabane Towpath alongside the canal with excellent views of the River Foyle to accompany you, or venture over to Moor Lough and enjoy a pleasant lakeside stroll around the waters.
Strabane offers plenty more choices of pubs and shops, while the vibrant city of Derry awaits you with its 400-year-old walls to walk, Tower Museum, Seamus Heaney Homeplace and much more.
Walk along the famous Peace Bridge, marvel at Guildhall, one of Derry's most recognisable landmarks in the heart of the city, and book a screen tour of the hit comedy show Derry Girls to see all the filming locations.
Closer to Sion Cottage, is Sion Stables Museum, winning awards for its loving restoration and conservation, it houses exhibits which tell the store of this linen village and that of the lives of the mill workers and owners, with a restaurant too it's a lovely afternoon out.
