  • "House was very clean and spacious, with fantastic views of Donegal Bay."

From end of lawn (it is a footpath) you can walk onto rocks at low tide. The sitting room is cosy on an evening with a small tv with just a few channels and DVD player. We had amazing weather so able to use garden chairs and could watch sunsets. Bedrooms tastefully furnished and looked like bedding and flooring were new. Bathrooms showing signs of wear but everything worked fine. Patio doors would not seem to open, but able to use back door. Kitchen very well equipped with good dishwasher. Washing machine was old but worked, Although there is no internet, the phone signal was reasonable. Lidl and SuperValu supermarkets only a 5 minute drive away in Bundoran. We particularly enjoyed visiting Mullaghmore head/beach and Slieve League cliffs. So for us, the location, convenience, cleanliness and overall comfort of the property ticked all the boxes. Would happily recommend and return.

  • "It is a cosy and wonderful cottage and a perfect location: a view on the sea, tranquil setting but close to Bundoran."

The cottage is light and peaceful, the facilities and equipment was well thought out and extensive. We had the feeling, that it could be our own flat resp. the owner lives there sometimes. Definitely we would like to come back!

About the location

BUNDORAN, COUNTY DONEGAL

Ballyshannon 4 miles.

The coastal town of Bundoran, meaning ‘the foot of the little water’ is situated in County Donegal and is one of Ireland’s most popular resorts. Bundoran will suit all tastes, where a fun day out can be spent at the Bundoran Adventure Park, or on rainy days at Waterworld. Stunning cliff-top walks around the town are a must, plus the area is a golfer's haven, with many golf courses in the area, including one in Bundoran itself. Close by is Ballyshannon, the oldest town in Ireland, which boasts a folk festival every August and offers shops selling local crafts, pubs, restaurants, a leisure centre and a beach. The beautiful Rosses Point is a short drive away, plus Benbulben, part of the Dartry Mountains, and the whole of Donegal are within driving distance. An excellent area which you are bound to visit time and time again.
