  • "This house was perfect for us."

It had everything you could possibly need and more. The bed was super comfy. The cleanliness was 2nd to none. Barbara had scones, bread, butter and milk left in for us, which were delicious. We had no WiFi and she went and got us a dongle which worked perfectly. The weather was fab and we were on a different beach every day. Lovely beach 5 mins from house which we didn’t find until our last day. Round stone is a must and especially Gurteen Bay, stunning. Lots of lovely places to eat and drink. The only thing missing was live music but hopefully next year things will be back to normal. I would highly recommend this house to anyone.

  • "We have just recently returned from a very enjoyable week in Connemara made even more special by staying in Labasheeda."

The house is just five minutes’ walk from the village, so it is very convenient to all the shops. The house is easily one of the best houses we have stayed in, the décor is to a very high standard and the kitchen is very well stocked with all the utensils you need if self-catering. The house was spotlessly clean, and the three bedrooms are spacious with plenty of wardrobe space. There is an outside ‘sunroom’ and table with chairs – all you need for some very comfortable outside dining. Barbara is an excellent host and very welcoming, providing leaflets and recommendations on things to do. The scones and brown bread are delicious after a long drive and the supplies of milk, butter and tea/coffee meant we could have a nice cuppa before unpacking. We 100% recommend this house and it makes a great base for exploring Connemara.

  • "Another wonderful stay at Labasheeda."

The house is perfect in so many ways, a home from home. It is absolutely spotless, it is hard to believe that there has been anyone else staying in it. The house offers holiday home luxury, something that is hard to find. The facilities are excellent for families. Easy to wash clothes, cook meals and cosy to relax in if you don't want to venture out! Close to amenities, with lots of food options in Carraroe and if you turn left you can enjoy a wonderful walk looking out to the sea. We have stayed in lots of holiday homes in both England and Ireland, including homes under big resort brands, but this is the best one we have ever stayed in. Thank you Barbara, you really are a wonderful host and we enjoyed the bread and scones! We look forward to returning again soon. Thanks again. Everything in this cottage was of a very high standard and a lot of thought had obviously been given to what guests may need during their stay. We got a great welcome from Barbara, who also supplied us with milk, butter and homemade scones on arrival. We loved this place and would love to come again in the future. Breda and Kevin

Lebasheeda is comfortable, charming and located in a lovely & convenient area of Carraroe. The hostess Barbara was absolutely lovely & accommodating. She had bread & scones waiting for us on arrival, it was delicious & exactly what was needed with tea when we arrived. The beds are so comfortable and in fairness it was the best holiday home I’ve rented so far. If Barbara will have us we will definitely be back next year.

A beautiful, bright house in a fantastic location. The house is close to a shop, pub and restaurant and has great walks (e.g. to the coral beach) starting from the front door. Barbara is a fantastic unintrusive host, who welcomes you with her gaelic, a smile and a scone.

The kitchen was complete and very much appreciated: the basics as toiletpaper, kitchen (paper) towels, dishwasher tablets, clingfoil, tea were all available. I expect salt and pepper were left overs from other guests :-) There were several... And ofcourse, as many people already mentioned: the scones on arrival! Makes you feel welcome. During our stay it was chilly outside, but inside it was nice and warm.

It was warm and cosy and we enjoyed getting back after every trip out. Great location near local amenities and only a short walk back from the pub! The house had everything you could imagine you might ever need when self catering and it was spotlessly clean. There was an array of books and dvds to enjoy if desired. Fresh scones and other essentials were waiting on arrival and picking up and dropping off the keys was so easy. We have stayed in lots of holiday homes, air bandb places and hotels... this was our best yet. Thanks a lot. We look forward to returning next time we are back in Carraroe.

We were made to feel very welcome. Barbara spoilt us by baking for us yet again. Last time we got a carrot cake, this year we got yummy brown and fruit scones. It is a lovely personal touch. In addition there was milk and butter left in the fridge, so we were all sorted for breakfast the next day. Barbara spoke to us in Irish as we were down for the week doing an Irish course. I need all the practice I can get. Labasheeda is a great location lovely and quite, yet it is only walking distance from the town. It is a short drive away from many beaches. My favourite beach is Trá on Dóilin. The house is so comfortable and has everything you will need. We love the place so much, we are back again in July for another week.

Everthing was prepared perfectly. Coming back again after 22 years to Ireland, I have to admit that the most important thing hasn't changed: the hospitality of the Irish people. Thank you so much to the owner for the great experience being a guest in your lovely cottage. The pictures are 100% real, everything is in place, clean and in perfect condition.
