    “Idyllische Lage mit Blick auf den Lough Mask”

    Obwohl das Haus etwas sehr abgelegen ist kann man sich hier gut zwischen Natur und Schafen erholen. Die Betten sind gut mit eher härteren Matratzen. Alles sehr liebevoll dekoriert, die Zimmer und Bäder sind besonders sauber und gepflegt. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet , Grillen nur im Back Ofen möglich,kein Aussen Grill! Waschmaschine ebenfalls vorhanden Einkaufsmöglichkeit beim Supermarkt Tesco 20min. Sehr angenehme Besitzerin dir gerne Auskunft über Ausflugsmöglichkeiten gibt. Angeln ...

Angeln am See in der Nähe möglich, ansonsten muss man mit dem Auto in die nähere Umgebung fahren um etwas zu erleben. Für grössere Familien sicher eine gute Möglichkeit zusammen zu wohnen, allerdings draussen vorm Haus für Kinder praktisch kein Spielplatz und auch kein eigentlicher gemütlicher Sitzplatz, eher Parkplatz Atmosphäre. Hier lädt nichts zum liegen und lesen oder sonnen ein. Allerdings gibt es in der Nähe 5 Meilen mit dem Auto einen hübschen kleinen weißen Strand am Lough Mask. Abends kann man am elektrischen Kamin im Wohnzimmer wunderbar zusammensitzen und gemeinsam Sky TV geniessen . Um einen guten Ausgangspunkt für Irland und Connemara zu haben ist diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlenswert.

With panoramic views of the lake and a backdrop of the mountains, the cottage lies just a stone’s throw from the boundary line of Galway and Mayo, making it the perfect base for exploring and discovering all that this area of Ireland has to offer.

The traditional village of Clonbur is located between Lough Mask and Lough Corrib in County Galway. Offering a small selection of shops and pubs, it retains a distinctly Irish feel with its own unique character and charm. There are a number of places of interest to the visitor in the surrounding area, including Ross Hill Abbey, Ballykine Castle and Lough Coolin. For walkers and hikers, the imposing Mount Gable offers one of Ireland’s most scenic mountain walks, with the trail beginning less than 2 miles from Clonbur. The nearby village of Cong is well worth a visit and is famed as the setting for the John Wayne movie, ‘The Quiet Man’. It is also home to Ashford Castle with its magnificent architecture, fine dining and sprawling golf course. Loughs Corrib and Mask are world-renowned for trout and salmon fishing and boats and guides are available locally. Clonbur makes an ideal base for exploring other attractions in the area such as Galway City, the Connemara National Park and Clew Bay to the north.
