“Bernie proved to be an excellent hostess.”

Sycamore Cottage was equipped down to the last detail. It was as though we were guests in her own home. Our week there was the best experience we have had in a holiday home ever.

A traditional detached, stone cottage set in the owner's grounds close to the village of Ballinderreen in County Galway.

The property is situated on an inlet of Galway Bay known as Brandy Harbour and is an ideal area for families and friends who love walking, with only a ten-minute stroll to the harbour.

This cottage is all on the ground floor with a well-equipped kitchen and a sitting room with dining area and oil-burning stove.

There are two comfortable double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower, basin and WC as well as a family bathroom.

Outside this delightful cottage is a private established lawned garden which is dappled by the sycamore trees that surround the cottage, a perfect place to relax with a good book and enjoy the sunshine.

The pretty seaside village of Kinvara is just a five-minute drive away.

Other nearby attractions are the Connemara National Park and the city of Galway is only 15 miles away.

Also a short drive down the road is the village of Kilcolgan, home to the Moran Oyster Cottage, a thatched cottage dating back over 250 years and now offering freshly-caught seafood.
