  • "Lovely clean cottage, plenty of space."

Nice and warm for February/March! Location is excellent, 10 minute walk from the sea. Accessible to shops, Spiddal and Galway city. A well-equipped kitchen and electric blankets for those chilly nights. Would recommend and would stay there again.

  • "This is the third time we've stayed in Paddy Staff's Cottage - it's fantastic there."

The addition of a tumble dryer made a great difference! Thanks, Bridie, for making us feel so welcome, even though we couldn't meet in person.

  • "The cottage is set in a quiet location with a couple of pubs nearby, which were not open due to CV19."

There is a lovely beach at the bottom of the road that was clean and quiet. We had a few conversations with Bridie, the cleaner, who gave us plenty of information about the running of the cottage. The facilities are good and the house was lovely and clean. Would definitely book this again in the future.

  • "This was our second visit to Paddy Staff's Cottage - it's in a beautiful location and comfortably holds 6 adults."

Bridie Folan, the housekeeper, is wonderful and very welcoming. I somehow managed to fuse the house and she was there within minutes of our phoning for help. The only downsides of this year's visit were that the pillows in one of the bedrooms smelled a bit musty - I swapped them with spares from another room and it was fine. Also, the washing machine may have had something unpleasant stuck in it - clothes came out smelling disgusting. Once I put a boil wash through, the problem was solved. Drying clothes was a bit difficult, as we could not find any washing line, only a small clothes horse. We would love to return to this house again. Situation, facilities and the wonderful welcome from Bridie all make for a fantastic, relaxing time.

Thanks for your feedback, one room has been redecorated and the property was also recarpeted after your visit. The pillows were also replaced. Property Owner

  • "Excellent accommodation in a beautiful area."

Good location for exploring the Wild Atlantic Way north or south.

  • "The first two numbers I called to enquire about collecting the keys were out of date - the woman I spoke to was very unimpressed that I had her number."

When my son and I got to the cottage, Brídie Folan could not have been nicer or friendlier - she had the place spotless and was very helpful in showing us around and recommending places to visit, etc. We had a lovely time in Paddy Staffs Cottage (despite the almost constant rain!), and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in Connemara.
