“The views from this property are outstanding.”

Kathleen welcomed us warmly and the house was very well equipped. Essentials such as toilet paper and washing up liquid were provided which makes staying away from home that bit easier. The kids had a great time and there was plenty of space for us to enjoy without getting under each other’s feet (there were only 11 of us) The house was lovely and warm and the beds comfortable. It’s a good 20 mins to the nearest shop by car, but we knew this because of the detail in the property ...

It’s a good 20 mins to the nearest shop by car, but we knew this because of the detail in the property description, so we made sure we stopped off on our way to the property.

The property

Tully 4.5 miles.

A spacious semi-detached house, next to the owner home, located on the edge of the Renvyle Peninsula, 4.5 miles from the seaside village of Tully in County Galway.

With plenty of room on offer, this cottage is an excellent base for large groups of friends and family to come and explore the west coast of Ireland.

Set over two floors, with six en-suite bedrooms upstairs, you can rest assured that there is plenty of room at the inn.

To your left when you enter the property you will find a well-equipped kitchen, great for preparing a delicious meal after a day down by the sea, complete with a breakfast bar and a small dining table.

While off to the right you will enter the spacious living room with a multi-fuel stove set in a traditional stone fireplace and a dining area which looks out to the sea.

Out to the front of the property there is a raised decked area complete with table and chairs, perfect for watching the last of the day fade over the Atlantic, while you enjoy a relaxing drink.

With Tully just a short way down the road you won’t be stuck if you need to grab something from the shop or to stop for a pint with the locals.

Or if you’re a fan of scuba diving, next door to your holiday home you will find a scuba diving school which offers a range of activities from island dive safaris and wreck diving.

Renvyle Peninsula offers a great escape from day to day life and lets you absorb the fresh sea air with long stretches of sandy beaches and places to visit such as Derryinver Quay and Ballinakill Harbour.

You can take a trip on a glass bottomed boat, try your hand at sea angling or take a trip to see a large variety of wildlife in the area including birds, grey seals and otters while crossing your fingers for a glimpse of dolphins and porpoises who are regular visitors.

A fantastic seaside house to be enjoyed at any time of the year.

About the location

TULLY, COUNTY GALWAY

Letterfrack 3.5 miles; Connemara National Park 3.5 miles; Clifden 12 miles.

The seaside village of Tully sits on the picturesque Renvyle Peninsula, County Galway. The village lies on the Atlantic Ocean, and fishermen still land the daily catch on the small pier by the beach. The village has two bars, a Post Office, a supermarket and a horseriding centre, as well as Teach Ceoil, a music house which holds traditional evenings of music each Tuesday evening during July and August. Across the bay are the mountains of Mweelrea and Croagh Patrick, and within easy reach are Connemara National Park, Kylemore Abbey, and Inishbofin Island, not to mention numerous walking and cycling routes, sea cruises, angling trips and much more. A wonderful base for a relaxing Irish holiday.
