Discover a wondrous retreat for all the family, resting near the market town of Listowel, this enormous detached house provides an idyllic country spot in County Kerry.

Dairbre Teach is suited to a large group of family and friends, with a host of elegant bedrooms, most with en-suite bathrooms, and huge living spaces to relax in.

Be welcomed through the grand electric gates and onto the driveway, before parking up and making your way inside.

Enter to the large, tiled entrance hall and find your way to the heart of the home, the bright and loft open-plan living space, where a sleek kitchen, homely sitting area and formal dining area are all placed perfectly together.

Sit on one of the plush sofas before the flames of the solid fuel stove, while dinner is cooking in the kitchen area, you can put a film on the wall-mounted TV to keep all entertained.

Perch at the breakfast bar with a glass of wine, beneath the natural light falling through the beautiful skylights, with views out to the countryside from the kitchen windows.

Move across the glossy floor and find a snug spot in the second sitting room, home to another solid fuel stove for extra comfort, you can recline on one of the sofas and settle in for the evening.

Children will love having a room to themselves in the lovely playroom, with sliding glass patio doors to the outside, it presents the ideal spot for playtime!

Find a quiet moment or two in the ground-floor bathroom, soak in the freestanding bath before retiring to bed in one of the ground-floor double bedrooms, both enjoying a walk-in wardrobe and an en-suite shower room each.

From the convenient and spacious utility, home to a the handy laundry facilities and extra fridge/freezer, you can climb the stairs to another double bedroom from here, with a further double bedroom also on the ground floor.

Come up the main, grand wooden staircase, passing the inviting sofa which sits on the landing, and find two more bedrooms on either side of the first floor; two more doubles within the slanting ceilings with solid wood bed frames, picturesque country views from the windows, and each with an en-suite shower room.

Discover a host of attractions to keep all the family entertained, begin with a visit to the Listowel Monorail & Museum, where a replica of the original steam monorail still runs today, offering a lovely journey showing off the trains ingenious switching system, before you take a stroll around the museum.

Catch a flick at the Classic Movieplex, a vintage and independent cinema showing the latest blockbusters, it's perfect for a rainy day.

Take strolls around Childers Park and Woodlands, a delightful place for a summer picnic and walks along the River Deale.

Don't miss the imposing medieval Listowel Castle, climb to the top of the fortress to watch over the town and the meandering river.

Spend a day at the races if you're in town for the Listowel Races at the start of June, or the Listowel Races Harvest Festival in September.

For literary lovers, visit during the wonderful Listowel Writers' Week, founded in 1970, it brings writers together from all corners of the world, as Listowel is known to be the literary capital of Ireland.
