This fantastic, detached cottage is located just outside the coastal town of Portmagee, on the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry.
Set close to the coast, this is an excellent base for families and friends looking to spend some quality time together and do some sightseeing around County Kerry.
The cottage has a well-equipped kitchen combined with a dining area, which looks out to the sea and Valentia Island, providing a fantastic backdrop to all of your meals and discussions of the day’s highlights.
After eating, why not take yourself into the cosy sitting room and rest by the solid fuel stove, which will keep you warm and toasty after a day out and about.
Log into the WiFi and share your holiday snaps with those at home, making them a little jealous of the wonderful time you’re having, and as the day draws to an end, there are four good-size bedrooms to retreat to, one of which is upstairs and benefits from an en-suite shower room.
Outside, the children can play in the front lawned garden, while the grown-ups take a seat on the patio to the back of the property, with a well-earned drink and some sausages sizzling on the barbecue.
Visit the wonderful Valentia Island and be sure to stop at Bray Tower with great views, try the watersports or head to Portmagee, home to a good selection of shops and pubs and famous for its fresh fish with plentiful seafood restaurants.
The Skellig Chocolate Factory is just a short drive away, where you can watch the chocolate being made before enjoying a snack and a coffee.
A little further afield are lots of gems to discover, including the town of Cahersiveen, which offers cafes, traditional pubs and restaurants if you wish to take the night off from cooking.
Also while in the area, take a drive along the world-famous Ring of Kerry and marvel its truly spectacular coastal and inland scenery.

Portmagee is a small fishing village situated on the south western most tip of the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland. Known as the gateway to Valentia Island, Portmagee is also located on the Skellig Ring, an offshoot of the stunning Ring of Kerry, which is home to the amazing Skellig Rock. Portmagee offers pubs, restaurants and Irish dancing, which takes place twice a week all year round. The famous Skellig Island Boat Trips are only 2 minutes from the village, while the area also offers great walking on the Kerry Way, magnificent scenery, great cycling routes, diving, angling, horse riding, Heritage Centres including The Skellig Experience, and some of the best sandy beaches in the country.
