  • "Thank you so much for letting us stay at Stone Cottage."

It was a really fabulous holiday and the house is absolutely perfect.in every way. The location is stunning. The only comment I might make is that the directions to it might be made a little clearer (which I guess is something Sykes should sort out?).

Thanks for the positive review, it was a pleasure to have you stay and we are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time here . Property Owner

  • "Wonderful stay."

The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. The views are out of this world and we absolutely loved the remote location. Our hosts were very accommodating and we would love to come back in the future.

  • "This is hands down one of the best holiday homes we've stayed in in Ireland."

It's cosy and spacious, well equipped and comfortable. (My only suggestion would be to have a dining table that sits 6.) We shall be back for the views alone, wow!

Thanks so much for the great review. I understand your point of view about the table it's just very tight for space in the kitchen but will consider your comments. I do hope you will visit again and am delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay. Angela. Property Owner

  • "Jim and Angela were great hosts and the cottage is very spacious yet cosy."

Many great walks nearby, via dingle way to brandon via mas an tiompain or via ballybrack and binn na mna which jim reccommended - an easyish and short climb but with stunning views of ocean. An bohar pub is about 20 mins walk with great coffee, food and wifi. There is a local bus service (kennedy's) to dingle, feohanagh and other local villages / towns - timetable is online. I hope I'll be able to visit again.

Thanks Michael for the fab review, we are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to seeing you again. Angela and Jim . Property Owner

  • "Our second visit to this absolutely fantastic cottage."

Comfort and character in abundance, with probably the best view you can imagine. The view alone makes this cottage worth your trip to Kerry!! Everything you require is supplied but for the only small (VERY) service that would be nice , was broadband WiFi. 4G is available but with the old walls of the house, the signal is not very strong inside. All in all, you could not ask for a better Holiday Rent!!!!

We were fine for pillows as there were only four of us, but only one pillow was supplied per bed. Other than that the house was very well equipped and in a great location.

  • "Beautiful cottage, modern and suits needs of young family."

Nice and warm and stunning views from all windows. Directions to the cottage should be given, as it’s no where near Ballydavid. Co-ordinates are on the website but in very small writing. A simple FAQ sheet would help with small things like nearest shop/pub/restaraunt/takeaway/church and to be left with all other information sheets. No large bin given to dispose of bins that fill up in the house. Overall we enjoyed our stay, it’s was what we expected with the exception of the small view advisory bits mentioned. Would come back. PS you will need a car to get here.

  • "The location was excellent, vehicle parking not so good."

the car had to be left on the side of the road and was showered with grit etc from passing vehicles. The kitchen was not clean the cooker was old and not up to the normal standards, the cupboards weren't clean one was particularly bad. We will definitely not go back to this property its not up to the standards of Sykes properties we have rented before and since a thumbs down.
