The property

This delightful detached bungalow is situated on the outskirts of the village of Ballyfarnon, County Roscommon.

The bungalow is in an elevated location with well-manicured gardens and is ideal for families or friends looking to explore this region of Ireland.

You enter the property through the porch which also benefits from having wheelchair access.

The hall leads into the sitting room with its open fire and comfortable settees, the perfect place to relax in front of the TV or to sit quietly with a book.

Further along the hall leads to the spacious and bright kitchen with dining area.

The kitchen has everything you need to cook up some delicious meals which can be enjoyed together around the dining table.

There’s even a small utility room in case you need to rinse through a few holiday essentials.

This lovely bungalow also has three ground floor bedrooms, the master boasting its own en-suite shower room and there is a twin room with the added flexibility of zip/link beds.

The owner is a keen gardener and the well-manicured gardens are a delight.

To the rear of the back garden you can even see the greenhouse where all the hard propagation work takes place.

Ballyfarnon is home to a shop and pub so why not amble down and join the friendly locals for some banter and a refreshing drink.

This bungalow is ideally situated for fishermen with Lough Allen on the River Shannon, and Lough Arrow being within an easy drive.

Ballyfarnon is also home to Kilronan Castle, a popular wedding venue with scenic grounds.

Alternatively for the more adventurous pop in the car and visit the forest adventure centre at Lough Key.

A little further away, and you can spend the day in Sligo town, Carrick-on-Shannon or even drive the scenic Wild Atlantic Way.

There really is something for everyone when based in this comfortable bungalow.

Ballyfarnon is a small village located in the northern part of County Roscommon. Lying close to the border of County Sligo and County Leitrim, it has good links into both counties. The village is situated on the River Feorish at the foot of Arigna Mountain and has many popular lakes nearby for the keen fishermen amongst you. The old Arigna coal mines that overlook the village are now home to the Arigna Mining Experience which is well worth a visit. Kilronan Castle, dating from the 19th century, is nearby and is now a luxury 5* hotel and a popular wedding venue. Lough Allen situated on the River Shannon is a short drive away and for the more adventurous visit Lough Key with its forest park adventure centre. A short drive will take you on to the Wild Atlantic Way where this amazing scenic coastal drive with its dramatic coastal scenery awaits. For those looking for a slightly livelier scene a day trip to Sligo makes a great day out were you can sample the many shops, pubs and restaurants or discover the coast and beaches of this area (Strandhill and Rosses Point). Ballfarnon is an ideal location for an enjoyable trip to Ireland at any time.
