  • "The water side cottage is so cosy and comfortable."

It was perfect for our family of 5 (2 teenagers and a grown up child,) to relax and also entertain our wider family. The beautiful scenery blew us away. We were eager to explore, run and swim making the most of it all. There is little light pollution and On our last night the sky was clear. The show of stars were utterly breathtaking. I am especially thankful for the amazing hospitality of Michael, checking in with us to make sure things were going well, and Hazel who could not do enough for us. She gave us all the information we needed regarding " all the buttons" in the cottage. She was on hand if we needed her. She quickly sorted out that we could use the fire when she realised how important this was. She sourced some kayaks when I mentioned that I liked to paddle. (Thanks also to Rose for the loan) . The friendliness of everyone blew me away. I was able to go out on the lake with my biggest son, which was a real gift. I can't thank Hazel enough.

The inspired landscaping enhances what Mother nature gave us. The cottage itself is spacious, comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Thanks to Hazel and Michael for their warm Roscommon welcome.

It is above and beyond what we expected and situated in a beautiful, pristine location with direct jetty to the lake. Ideal for anglers. Michael was very hospitable and friendly when we arrived, leaving goodies and fresh basic food in the fridge. Everything we needed was there. We can highly recommend this lovely place.

  • "Fantastic, comfortable cottage with beautiful lake views."

Private jetty in front of house was great and I left my boat there all week, since the pike fishing was so good! Note: no petrol engines allowed on lake, so electric motor or oars only. The attached garage was good for storing fishing/boat gear.

  • "Absolutely gorgeous location, beautiful cottage, stunning views, Michael the owner met us and really nice guy."

Place was immaculately clean, very well equipped and am so staying there again. If your into fishing there's a spot right outside the cottage. If your into views they are amazing and so well located to tour so many beautiful places in the West of Ireland, really cannot recommend this cottage enough.

  • "We were made very welcome by the owner (Michael) who left us some treats in the fridge, as well as basics like milk."

We loved the sunny room at the front with views over the lough. The cottage was well located for places to visit. We would recommend Boyle Abbey and Kings House in Boyle (which had a nice cafe in the courtyard outside), plus Carrick-on-Shannon. If interested in heritage, visit Rathcroghan Museum and Archaeological Trail, plus Strokestown Park House and the National Famine Museum (also with a good cafe).
