In the well-equipped kitchen and dining room, you will be able to rustle up some tasty meals and a few hearty packed lunches before heading out for the day.
As the day draws on, take it easy for the evening and rest up in front of the TV and warm your toes in front of the open fire after a day spent exploring the local area.
With the sun out, head out to the garden and enjoy the fresh Irish air with a well-earned drink and plan the next day’s activities.
Balla is a short drive away and will provide you with a range of restaurants should you wish to take the night off from cooking, or visit one of the pubs and listen to some live local music.
With the stunning scenery on offer around the local area, pull on those walking boots or hop on your bike and check out the different trails.
Also close at hand are the towns of Claremorris and Ballinrobe, both with golf clubs, shops and local culture for you to absorb.
You should also try to make time to discover Castlebar, Westport, Croagh Patrick Mountain and Achill Island, which are all well worth visiting.

Balla is a small village in the centre of County Mayo between Castlebar and Claremorris, which makes it a superb location for visiting this region of Ireland. The village has a number of local pubs which offer a variety of entertainment including Irish music and Ceilis. Nearby Claremorris offers a range of shops, pubs, restaurants and family activities, while just an hour's away, the vibrant and lively city of Galway offers lots for guests to see and do. Connemara National Park is located in Galway and is home to wonderful species of wildlife, including the famous Connemara Pony, while Lough Mask and Lough Corrib are great for fishing.
