    It is so comfortable i hated to leave it. The only draw back is THERE IS No WiFi which is very essential these days. It is very quite there which i like. And if you like horses? thats the place to be. They are lovely. The owners go out of there way to help you.

This is a perfect base for a family or group of friends looking to tour the area.

The cottage has a bright and fresh open plan kitchen and dining area, ideal for everyone to get together, unwind and relax after what are sure to be busy days, exploring everything this area has to offer.

Settle down and share your favourite story of the day, enjoy a wide range of board games or sit back and peruse the selection of DVDs supplied by the owner.

The kitchen is well equipped and has ample utensils to rustle up a hearty breakfast and pack a picnic for the day’s adventures.

If all you need is peace and quiet, head into the second sitting area, where you can curl up with your favourite novel, glass in hand, in front of a roaring open fire.

Pull on your walking boots and set off from the doorstep of your County Mayo cottage and see what sights can be discovered.

Ballyvary has everything you’ll need during your stay, while a little further afield are Foxford, Swinford and Castlebar, offering a selection of restaurants and pubs where you can sample some of Ireland’s best traditional delights.

The cosy village of Ballyvary lies on the main road from Castlebar to Swinford. The quiet village has a well-equipped shop, two pubs and takeaway. Ballyvary benefits from easy access to Turlough with the Museum of Country Life and the lively towns of Castlebar and Westport, as well as Knock Airport. The superb fishing opportunities on the River Moy are available nearby, as well as many walking and cycling routes amongst the pretty countryside. The city of Galway, Achill Island and County Sligo are also easily reached making this location an ideal choice for a memorable Irish break.
