A welcoming holiday base from which to explore the scenic wonder of County Mayo, Glenree can be found resting in the modest village of Belass, under a mile away from the wonderful amenities of Foxford.

An all-ground-floor bungalow offering accommodation for six guests, there's no better holiday home from which to visit Ireland with family or friends.

Park up on the spacious driveway and enter inside, the sitting room welcoming you in to light up the woodburning stove and take a seat in the plush seating arrangement.

Carry your conversations through to the contemporary kitchen/diner as you discuss an itinerary for your fun-filled stay over a bottle of wine.

The kitchen hosts all of the appliances you could need for your stay, with a convenient washer/dryer in the utility too for your convenience.

Choose from either the bathroom or shower room to unwind each evening in the warmth of the water, before seeking out your sleeping spot to catch up with your rest.

The bedrooms are made up of three equally charming doubles, one room boasting its own television so you can catch up on your favourite shows from the comfort of the covers, each room boasts ample storage space and crisp, clean linens.

Spend quality time together out on the patio area, a lovely spot to enjoy a hearty breakfast each morning before beginning your day of adventure.

The village of Belass sits within close proximity to Foxford where you can find all the essential amenities for a self-catered stay, including two shops and a scatter of pubs and bars, it offers a great location to spend your evenings, with the River Moy making a scenic walk to enjoy the stunning scenery of County Mayo.Resting between the Ox and Nephin Mountains, the town boasts ample opportunities for outdoor adventure, with rambling, mountain biking and fishing nearby, there's something here for every type of adventurer, with the 53 mile long Foxford Way leading you past archaeological sites, riverbanks and more, there's no better way to explore the countryside of Ireland.

The world famous Foxford Woollen Mills Interpretative Centre, shop and restaurant are a must for all visitors to the area.

Foxford boasts it's own train station with regular connections to and from Dublin.

An excellent bus service connects Foxford to Dublin City and Airport, to Galway and to nearby west of Ireland (Knock) airport.

Spend a day in the welcoming town of Ballina, home to the ruins of Moyne Abbey, the 15th century Rosserk Friary and the impressive St Muredach's Cathedral, there's plenty of historic wonder here alongside hosting an annual festival with music, theatre, art, heritage and culture, it's well-worth exploring while in the area.

Castlebar is also steeped in history and provides a variety of leisure activities such as swimming, bowling, golf, horse riding and tennis, while a scenic drive will bring you to the Georgian town of Westport, a perfectly picturesque town with plenty to keep all ages entertained.

Glenree makes a fantastic choice for your escape to the Republic of Ireland.

Foxford is a delightful town situated on the River Moy in County Mayo. Foxford is well known as a tourist centre and has a variety of traditional pubs, restaurants and shops. Nestled between the Ox and Nephin Mountains, the town caters for a range of outdoor activities such as walking, mountain biking and fishing. The Foxford Way is a 53 mile long trail which takes in the Ox Mountains, archaeological sites, boglands and river banks. For fishing enthusiasts, the River Moy offers some of Ireland's best salmon fishing, whilst nearby Loughs Conn and Cullin provide opportunities for brown trout fishing. Foxford is ideally located for exploring the Wild Atlantic Way, either going west to Erris to explore it's beautiful rugged coastline, take in a visit to Ceide Fields Centre, Downpatrick Head or head east towards Enniscrone and other Sligo towns. Enniscrone has a beautiful beach and all the facilities of a resort town. Further afield are the towns of Ballina, Castlebar and Sligo, the Ballycroy National Park and Achill Island, all suitable for a day trip.
