    “Comfortable house in quiet little estate on the edge of Louisburgh.”

    20 mins walk to Carramore beach, 10 mins to Louisburgh Main Street. Plenty more beaches and things to do in local area. Would definitely return.

In the town centre, discover some of the local history at the Grace O'Malley Pirate Queen Museum, dedicated to the life of Grace O'Malley a fierce leader and pirate from the 16th century.

There are plenty of walks and cycling routes from the abode; The Lost Valley is within a half an hour drive and boasts unspoiled scenery and heritage of the West of Ireland, now a working farm offering sheepdog demonstrations and pet lamb feeding.

For an action-packed day out visit Summer SUP, where you can take part in stand-up paddle boarding from instructors amongst the fantastic views of the Irish coast, also nearby is the Westport Adventure Centre for paintballing and obstacle courses.

While in Westport, the magnificent Westport House is well worth a visit, offering gardens, trails and of course tours of the 'most beautiful house in Ireland', it is sure to be a splendid day out at this 300-year-old site.

Just a scenic drive away is Kylemore Abbey, a romantic Irish castle overlooking a pretty lake and surrounded by greenery, while a short walk along the shores of Lough Pollacapull brings you to Kylemore's neo-gothic church, a truly enchanting church that plays host to musical events at certain points throughout the year.
