Mrs Lennon “This is our 2nd visit to Banada Cottage in the last 11 months, so that should speak volumes.”
Spotlessly clean with all the facilities required for a very relaxing break. Super hosts who kindly leave a generous welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, water & biscuits. A starter pack also made available for the very welcoming open fire. Centrally located allowing for easy exploring of the beautiful Wild Atlantic Way coastline of Co. Sligo, Co. Mayo, Co. Galway etc. Highly recommend

Mr Miller “The cottage had everything we needed.”
All the comforts of home and all the facilities , dishwasher , washing machine etc. Located down a lane made it very peaceful and quiet. Great place to tour from, Throughly enjoyed the week in the cottage.
- Mr Miller, September 2020Mr Dalzell “A delightful cosy comfortable spotless cottage in idyllic surroundings.”
The owner kindly provided tea coffee milk biscuits and all the basic kitchen necessities. Plenty of good places to eat out within a few miles. Walks from the door and a large garden which were perfect for our dog. Convenient to Sligo and several towns but situated in scenic countryside ideal for relaxing.

Just what we needed!
- Ms Boyd, July 2020Miss Jackson “Amazing cottage!”
Lovely family holiday at banada Cottage. Facilities were superb, every little detail was considered. Perfect set up for children and families. Warm, cosy, comfortable, safe. Good location for day trips from Sligo. Directions to cottage easy to follow, well signposted. Greeted warmly by owner, easy key collection. Will definitely be returning to Banada Cottage soon!
- Miss Jackson, July 2020Mr Mcloughlin “Lovely comfortable clean cottage with everything you need , owners friendly and easy to deal with would definitely stay here again.”
- Mr Mcloughlin, July 2020Mrs Lennon “A lovely relaxing time spent at this beautiful cottage.”
Good location which allowed us to explore Sligo, Mayo & Donegal. Well equipped cottage with everything needed & more. Just the 2 of us & our 2 GS dogs but would easily accommodate a family of 5. Hosts left tea, coffee, biscuits and a starter pack for the open fire, a lovely gesture. Would highly recommend.
- Mrs Lennon, November 2019Mr Greenway “The property was spotlessly clean and coffee, tea, milk and biscuits were there when we arrived.”
Property is secluded and peaceful. Big negative was the lack of local information, could have done with knowing where to find ATM, petrol, supermarket, etc. Website states shops and pub within ten minutes but nothing at the property to tell you where.
- Mr Greenway, September 2019Mrs Brown “Lovely character cottage, private, quiet and comfortable.”
Great size for two couples or a family.
- Mrs Brown, August 2019Mrs Dann “Everything about Banada Cottage excelled over our expectations.”
Extremely comfortable, well appointed and very clean. Could not ask for better. Hope to go again.
- Mrs Dann, August 2019Mr Omurchu “It was at the bottom of a lane and was peaceful and relaxing, yet not too far from Tubbercurry and Tourlistrane.”
The house was spotless and everything was supplied by Mrs Clarke including a thoughtful tea, coffee and biscuits. Gardens very well kept and lots of fresh country air.
- Mr Omurchu, July 2019Ms Nilsen “The Banada Cottage was very comfortable.”
The host , Mrs. Clarke, was very friendly. We had a wonderful time and would definitely rebook this cottage.

- Mrs Hodges, May 2019Mr Barnes “A lovely little cottage with everything you need for a break to get from it all and relax.”
A welcome pack of tea coffee milk and biscuits was a nice surprise.
- Mr Barnes, April 2019Mrs Reeman “The cottage was perfect, the images didn't do it justice!”
- Mrs Reeman, August 2018Mrs Tansey “This lovely cottage has charm and atmosphere that can’t be fully captured in photos.”
Only two bedrooms and yet it feels very spacious. All comforts have been thought of and a lovely welcome pack was waiting for us. Sligo is a gem of a county- a real wealth and range of places to see and things to do. Coming home and lighting the fire each evening was lovely. Grounds outside are beautifully kept- plenty of space for children to play. Although it is listed as sleeping 4 it would easily sleep a family of 5 comfortably. Internet and TV reception were very good (except of course for the high demand teenager in the house- the rest of us had no complaints!). Peaceful and quiet and a great base for exploring the west of Ireland. Owners lovely and live close by if needed.
- Mrs Tansey, August 2018Ms Carey “The cottage has been beautifully restored and is warm and comfortable.”
It has a peaceful location in a quiet lane but is close to the N17 road which links Sligo to Galway and is only 20 minutes from Knock airport. We would absolutely recommend it and will stay again if we are in that area.
- Ms Carey, January 2018Mr Serplus “Modern equipped and comfortable cottage in a quiet rural location.”
- Mr Serplus, September 2017Mr Grogan “A beautiful traditional Irish cottage with up-to-date appliances.”
It was very cosy and the owner was lovely and helpful. I would definitely recommend this cottage.
- Mr Grogan, March 2016A FlipKey verified reviewer “Banada Cottage”
I was delighted with Banada Cottage. It was perfect for myself and met all my elderly fathers requirements. It was spotless and very comfortable. The open fire was cosy too. I can not think of anything that the cottage lacks. However, there is no Wi-Fi and limited television programme's (which would have been helpful for Dad).
- A FlipKey verified reviewer, August 2014Mr Hatch “Quiet, peaceful, location with nice views would use again without hesitation very clean, great cottage.”
- Mr Hatch, August 2014Mr Patterson “This is a lovely Irish cottage that has all modern conveniences.”
The owner was very pleasant and kindly had a fire lit for our arrival.
