Outside the cottage, the views of towering Croagh Patrick mountain are stunning.

Clew Bay, with its numerous inshore islands is on your doorstep.

The bustling town of Westport is a short distance away, and boasts a hive of activities for all throughout the year.

Enjoy the wonderful local pubs and cafes and savour the cuisine in its many award winning restaurants.

Enjoy a fun filled day on the 'Greenway' , a cycle track that runs through Westport and takes the visitor through beautiful terrain winding its way to Achill Island.

Take the coast road from your cottage towards Louisburgh, stopping off at the wonderful beaches at Bertra and Old Head.

Stop for a break in Louisburgh and travel onto nearby Roonagh Pier, where the ferry will take you to nearby Clare Island and Inishturk, both inhabited islands.

It is here you will savour the culture and traditions of island life.

Travel south from Westport to Clifden, a magical journey through Killary harbour at Leenane, passing Kylemore Abbey with its walled victorian gardens and stunning setting.

Arrive in Letterfrack village, the gateway to Connemara National Park, with its numerous treks and trails.

Return to your wonderful cottage at Ardoley in the evenings and plan the following days adventures.

For those who enjoy a good walk, nearby, Croagh Patrick awaits with invigorating hikes and stunning views. There are also mapped mountain and forest walks locally, including the Western Way and Tawnyard. For a memorable day trip, why not head south into County Galway, just over half an hour’s drive away, with magnificent coastal scenery and the world renowned Connemara National Park?
