Mr Daughton “Excellent house with very attentive hosts.”
We had a great time. Ideal for our family reunion.
- Mr Daughton, October 2019Mrs Armstrong “Lough Gara lodge was perfect for our family holiday.”
Our 13 strong group was aged between 8 and 80 and there was lots for everyone to do. We all had a great time. Thanks to Ivan for being the perfect host. We will be back.
- Mrs Armstrong, August 2019Mrs Baddley “The cottage was spacious enough for our four generations to spend quality time together with room to spend time apart too.”
- Mrs Baddley, May 2019Mrs Dillon “Great house for visiting the local area.”
Lots of attractions to visit and owner on site with lots of tips and very helpful.
- Mrs Dillon, March 2018Mr Mackenzie “This was an amazing holiday.”
The owner Ivan was very friendly and helpful. Everything was exactly what we were led to believe (not all accommodation turns out to be). Ireland is an amazing place - very similar to where we live in the highlands of Scotland but what made it for us was the people. Everything we had heard about the Irish people was so true - friendly, helpful, always smiling. Courteous on the roads - no road rage here! We would highly recommend a holiday here and we will certainly return.
- Mr Mackenzie, August 2016Mrs Carey “The house was great and the hosts were very friendly.”
We were a big group with 7 kids and the house catered for everyone. There was loads of stuff for the kids, and the adults too.
- Mrs Carey, July 2016Miss Marks “The house was wonderful, the games room and upstairs seating area got a lot of use.”
The house owners were super helpful and incredibly friendly. The weather was a little unfortunate but the house was kitted out enough that we had more than enough to entertain us.
- Miss Marks, June 2016Mr Gauntlett “From the outset the whole experience was very enjoyable; dealing with Sykes Cottages was easy and they gave regular updates to us.”
The owner met us on site and after that left us to it with no interference; he was very pleasant and runs a great house. The facilities in the house were more than expected; catering was easy with the utensils available and the games room was a good feature. The rooms were clean, tidy and very presentable as were the bathing facilities. I cannot fault this whole experience from start to finish. Well done Sykes Cottages for finding us such a lovely house to share and thank you also to the owners.
- Mr Gauntlett, May 2015Mr Molineux “The Lodge is fabulous, we were very impressed.”
The area is quite remote however the pub and general stores are literally a stones throw away. The owner is extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. There are some incredible places to visit within a reasonably short drive from the Lodge, we especially loved Eagles Flying. Overall we had a great time! Thanks!
