  • "Thank you to Sylvia for allowing me to move my stuff into the house early."

Your assistance made my move to Gurteen much easier. You have a beautiful home and it was cleaned immaculately. Another great aspect is that Duffy's is pet friendly. Shamrock, my dog, was content during our stay. Thank you again. Kelly O'Connor

  • "Just back from a week's holiday staying in duffys cottage, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the house was perfect, really clean, it has everything ud need, a real home from home."

Netflix was a bonus. Teabags, coffee, sugar, biscuits, wine etc to greet us on arrival. The flowers was also a lovely touch. Gurteen is a small village just a few minutes walk from the house, it has a few pubs and a fine big centra shop, all the locals very friendly, a great base for visiting neighbouring counties, I would recommend it, a nice break from the hustle and bustle from the city.

  • "Duffy's Cottage provided a very restful holiday base: its quiet village of Gorteen has adequate shopping (and eating) facilities."

Within easy reach are the interesting towns of Sligo, Ballina and Carrick-on-Shannon: Galway and other venues in the West are also easily accessible. The neolithic passage tombs at Carrowkeel are twelve miles by car followed by an interesting countryside walk.
