Step outside the front door and enjoy a spacious garden and patio area, perfect for alfresco lunches, morning coffees, and a drink or two on relaxed summer evenings.

Just a stone’s throw from the front door of this Roscommon cottage, the Silver Eel pub rests in a picturesque setting on the shores of Grange Lough, where you can enjoy home-cooked food and traditional music.

Nearby, the heritage town of Strokestown offers a wonderful selection of attractions for all ages, and boasts a lovely selection of shops and pubs.

It is also home to Strokestown Park House, an 18th century estate house surrounded by an exquisite walled garden, all open to visitors.

Situated in the eastern part of County Roscommon is the charming heritage town of Strokestown with its lovely selection of shops and pubs, the Strokestown Golf Club and the annual Agricultural Show. Strokestown has a plethora of attractions and activities for all ages and makes a wonderful base to explore this rich, rural part of Ireland. It is home to Strokestown Park House, an 18th century mansion with an exquisite six acre walled garden, which has been restored to its original majesty and has the longest herbaceous border in Ireland. A small but thriving town, Strokestown has been attracting visitors for many years. It also plays host to the Irish National Great Famine Museum where you can learn about the lives of those who suffered the Great Famine of 1845.
