  • "This is a very clean, modern cottage with fittings and fixtures done to a very high specification."

The cottage could not be of a more scenic location. Some of the locals and other visitors have spotted Dolphins and basking sharks just off the headlands, although I did not see any myself. There is a local character called Pat Brady who you are certain to bump into who will explain the history of the cottage and knows all about the people and the area . He is worth meeting .Do yourself a favour and book this lovely cottage. Ben Brosnan from Northamptonshire.

  • "The cottage was in an ideal location for us: very peaceful with beautiful views."

Not ideal if you want a lively nightlife but curling up in the evening, in front of the fire with a book, was perfect for us. The fire was laid when we arrived, just had to put a match to it. We were very happy and comfortable at this cottage. We did not see the owners but we met the owner's father, a lovely man who was extremely friendly. We would definitely stay here again if holidaying in the area.

About the location

GRANGE, COUNTY SLIGO

Sligo 10 miles.

The village of Grange in County Sligo is the starting point for a spectacular drive through the Gleniff Horseshoe with its limestone cliffs in the valley between the Truskmore and Kings Mountains. Grange is at the foot of the Dartry Mountain range with its distinctively shaped Benbulben Mountain which is known worldwide as the symbol of County Sligo. Created by glaciers during the Ice Age, Benbulben Mountain is home to a fascinating range of flora and fauna including a number of species that in Ireland are only found on its slopes. The county town of Sligo is 10 miles away and contains an array of shops, bars and restaurants. Its name derives from the Gaelic word Sligeach, meaning Shelly River due to the abundance of shellfish in the waters around the town.
