  • "Beautiful house just like the pictures, lovely clean an cosy inside and a lovely out door sapce to sit."

    The house was well equipped for our stay. Even the litte added extras such as milk, tea,coffee an cereals were very thoughtful. Had a lovely peaceful break away with my family. Would definitely stay again.

  • "Fantastic family stay, lovely welcoming feeling from the start (fridge and pantry had the basics for breakfast, milk, tea, real coffee, instant decaf, choice of cereals, even biscuits) the house was warm and cosy, quiet location, all the facilities to allow us to cook for the 10 days, we played games at the counter and we're able to watch Netflix and YouTube, showers were very powerful but mainly the host was on hand to answer any text or query we had straight away."

    I'm sorry I didn't catch her name but she's a credit to the place, bringing us extra stools as we were up to 8 guests for the weekend, sending nice messages to make sure everything was ok... It is the human experience that's missing in so many self-catering places now. We loved Ciara's cottage and wish to book again. We can highly recommend this place.

  • "Very clean, spacious and cosy."

    Great location - close to everything Sligo, Strandhill, Rosses Point, Parkes Castle, Drumshanbo and Carrick on Shannon. Riverstown is a lovely village with great walks, playgrounds & a very nice cafe in the Folk Museum. The owners were very helpful on any queries. The grounds around the house are great for little kids to play in and there are lots of outdoor toys (tractors, buggy’s and karts) for the kids to play.

    Barry and his family were the perfect guests,,they left the property clean and tidy,,Would be very happy to see them again and would recommend them to other hosts, Property Owner

Ciara's Place is a splendid cottage nestled on the outskirts of Riverstown, County Sligo.

With ground-floor living and an inviting open-plan design, this abode welcomes families and friends seeking a serene getaway to Ireland.

Upon entering the property, you will be greeted by a spacious open-plan area, housing a well-equipped kitchen for all your culinary needs, and a dining area, where you can enjoy a family breakfast together before heading out for the day.

Adjacent to this, the sitting area offers a relaxing space to unwind, with a TV for your entertainment.

The ground floor also hosts two generously-sized double bedrooms, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of exploration.

Additionally, there are two twin bedrooms, providing ample space for all guests.

For your convenience, there are two shower rooms, each fitted with a walk-in shower, basin, and WC, one of which is on the ground floor, ensuring no morning queues.

Outside, you will find an enclosed side patio area, which is great for enjoying a morning coffee!

To the front of the property, a shared lawn provides a lovely and peaceful space for children to play or for you to soak up the sun on warmer days.

The village of Riverstown lies at a bridging point of the River Unshin, in west Ireland, and is home to the famous Sligo Folk Park. Here, you can turn back time and experience true rural, Irish heritage, with the help of their very own farmyard, and within easy driving distance is the Castle Dargan Golf and Spa Resort. A 25 minute drive will take you to Strandhill beach, ideal for surfing, or Lough Key Forest Park and its wildlife, historic buildings and evocative islands; discover the Tree Canopy Walk and get a bird's eye view of the park, spot wildlife including fallow deer, foxes, hares and red squirrels, or explore the Boda Borg, an intriguing game with 47 rooms of fun-filled activities, imaginative puzzles and enjoyable tasks, ideal for all ages.
