They were very helpful and told us things that were going on in the local area, we were even treated to freshly baked scones one day, would highly recommend

This was a second visit so that says a lot about the quality of the holiday home.

  • "Plenty of space in property and great views but needs some updating."

Towels very thin with big stains on a couple of them. Some rust and mildew in shower. No internet access although advertised with internet. Would only connect for a few seconds. Explained to owners but wasn’t rectified while we were there. Owners very friendly but property really needs updating and would then be 4 *

  • "What a great location!"

So close to the lovely Whiting Bay! The accommodation was very comfortable too and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Periodically checking all was okay. Would definitely visit again and would recommend for a very relaxing, coastal stay.

  • "The owners were away, as the wife had recently suffered a stroke."

We were disappointed by the quality of the towels and the general wear and tear on the apartment. There was no bath mat for the shower room, but in all fairness we didn't mention this to the owner's daughter. The shower gave one of us an electric shock and the daughter arranged for it to be replaced the same day. The apartment is divided from the main house by a "corridor" which was almost flooded by the heavy rain the day after we arrived. The apartment then smelt musty and damp for the rest of our stay, even though we used the electric heaters provided. The views are beautiful, but were marred by a camper van parked at the front of the house!

  • "The bedrooms were decorated nicely and had practical storage."

The lounge was nice with comfortable settee & chairs & nice dinning table & chairs. The carpets looked new and nice. Appreciated the heaters which we used and were good. I did miss not having a bread bin & kitchen waste bin & hooks on the bathroom door. 3 things that other guests may enjoy too. This is a lovely area to stay short walk to the beach and other coastal areas nearby. Very nice owner.

  • "The property was excellent but the heating was inadequate for the time of year."

There were 2 small oil filled radiators, one in the passage and one in a bedroom. No heating in the lounge or other bedroom or bathroom. A grab rail in the shower would be safer, but other than that it was very good very comfortable apart from the heating.

    Thanks your welcome Property Owner

The views from the holiday home looking across the bay were captivating with the changing colours of the sky and sea. It was great to have a choice of walks right from the front door. The property was very comfortable and homely. Helen and Declan were very welcoming, kind and friendly. We will certainly be returning.

The hosts Helen & Declan were extremely welcoming and gave us some lovely place to visit and lovely dog friendly restaurants. Casper their lovely friendly dog came to visit us most mornings. We had two wee dogs ourselves and they loved their walks on beach and the freedom of the closed in garden. . I would highly recommend a visit to this cottage and we will definitely be back please God. Tina Michael Buddy & Teddy Doggett ( Dublin)

Property was not as close to the beach as it appears in the photos, house is damp and smells of it with mould on the back of the curtains, fridge was not overly clean and the kitchen floor was sticky upon arrival, floors VERY creaky not ideal with others sleeping in the house, only 2 electric heaters in the whole house, was in a good location tho in relation to closeness of ardmore village and youghal with a playground and beach within a short driving distance
