  • "Had a lovely mini break in Duncannon in Apartment no 1."

We found the apartment to be clean and well equipped with everything a short break requires. Having read reviews on other sites we were a little worried but it looks like the apartment has had a revamp as we found it very comfortable. The only minor, minor gripe we had was that it would be nice to have a gate on the patio area as the apartment is advertised as pet friendly so a little extra pet security would be good. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the beach and great parking. We would return for sure.

  • "Cold. Needs to be pre heated before arrival."

Shower pressure was disappointing. One bed broken. Main bed very uncomfortable. Lack of comfortable seating. Minimum furniture in main bedroom. Bedside cabinets and chairs would be useful. Kitchen was adequate and location great...

Set entirely across the ground floor, there are two charming bedrooms, including a double and twin served by a bathroom where you can enjoy a soothing soak after a day of rambles.

The village welcomes many visitors each year, as it is situated on the scenic Ring of Hook, and one a year the Duncannon Sand Sculpting Festival provides a fantastic day out where you can witness some remarkable sand castle creations.

Walkers will be eager to explore the Hook Peninsula where you can see some breathtaking views and landmarks including the world’s oldest working lighthouse, which was constructed in the 12th century, while history buffs will be drawn to the beautiful Tintern Abbey and Loftus Hall, which is believed to be one of Ireland’s most haunted houses.
