“Little Gem ❤”

just home from the best staycation in duncannon co.wexford where we stayed 5 nights in this fab little house . It was just perfect spotless clean when we arrived, all had been sanitized . A perfect location on the beach everything we needed was laid out for us, even a carton of milk in fridge for that cup of tea when u arrive I cannot wait to come back to duncannon again next year and will definitely stay in this little gem ,we are goin to miss our morning beach walks with the dogs it was ...

It was a 3 story house 2 double rooms and a single room and upstairs bathroom/shower . Kitchen fully equipped with everything, sitting room perfect size with a fire starter pack on ready for u . I could go on about how lovely our stay was and made more enjoyable by staying here ❤

“This house was just perfect , right on the door step is Duncannon beach .”

Ideal location. Was spotless clean had been fully sanitized everything we needed and more was in this house . 3 floors with 2 double rooms and a single room , view from top floor bedroom was fab ❤living room and decent size kitchen with all you need . We will definitely be back next year to stay here , plus we had 2 small dogs which was allowed so 5his holiday cottage is 10/10 .. thank u we had a great staycation in wexford .

“The downstairs sitting room was very basic.”

It is too small. The table to eat on is awful and is in a very cramped space. You would not be able to open the door to go upstairs if anybody was sitting at it! It was great to have the open fire but the room is just so basic that it is not atmospheric. There was a very grubby feeling to this downstairs room. This room really needs a major overhaul. We could see from the web site that this room was probably an average size but we were not prepared for how basic it was and lacking in any taste. There was no bucket that we could see for the ashes from the fire. There was no teapot or coffee maker. We like real tea (Barry's) and good coffee but we didn't have anything to make it in!! Overall I don't know how a family of four or five could survive in that sitting room/lounge.

“The location was perfect and the view of the beautiful beach was just across the road.”

However we had problems trying to get hot water despite turning the dial to two hours as instructions by note which was left beside system. Every time we filled the kettle there was water everywhere as the kettle leaked. We went to cook in one evening and after getting dinner prepared discovered that there were no racks in the oven at all. The kitchen could be more stocked up with utensils like a colander, small glasses, big dish up spoon, small plates etc.It was a pity that the only place in the whole village which was open was Roches pub and restaurant and a small art shop other than the chipper which was only open one night.The nearest shop was in Ramsgrange which was about a four km drive. The water in the bathroom sink was very slow to go down as was obviously blocked. On the plus side the beds and pillows were very comfortable.

The living room was too small, not for a family, the furniture was a cheap mishmash not homely at all, heating just cheap electric blow heaters no open fire starter kit as advertised just not what I expected and I have rented a few off you in the Duncannon Fethard area Thank you

“stay away,house a danger to children”

this house is falling down and has dangerous electrical faults ie no on/off switches in electical sockets.the house is full of damp and the shower leaks through kitchen ceiling.tiles on kitchen floor or loose and cracked.every time you flush the toilet you would think someone was using a kango hammer,so bad first time we heard it my youngest daughter run out of house,needless to say we came home early.very disappointed.stay away you've been warned

“Fabulous holiday in beautiful Wexford”

This was a lovely place to stay. The beach location was stunning & there is so much to explore in the surrounding area. We had a 12 year old and two older teenagers who all were extremely happy - no easy task. The house was clean & functional & it was handy to have pubs, restaurants & a take-away all close by (when it says 1 minute, it is literally 1 minute). We would definitely go back and have already recommended it to anyone who will listen.
