  • "The house, itself, was wonderful- spacious, well-equipped and spotlessly clean."

We were greeted by the owners, who showed us where everything was and were extremely hospitable. There are lovely beaches and places of interest nearby. All in all, a really top-notch holiday!

  • "I was a little disappointed with the kitchen."

Nice large american style fridge/freezer but the ice maker not working although they had provided bags of ice in the freezer. Toaster tended to burn the edges of the toast and leave parts of it untoasted. Microwave did not seem to want to do anything under a minute. Hob was loose in its fitting and moved every time I cleaned it. Plenty of large pots but the non-stick frying pan was only average size which would have been a problem if you wanted to cook breakfast for 8 adults at one time. Plenty of glasses and mugs but only 8 plates and bowls, I understand the property was for 8 people but it did not allow for inviting a couple back to join in a meal. Also only discovered 4 coasters which I used as much as possible but was worried about marking the nice furniture with drinks. Outside there were plenty of "rustic" benches around the garden but the patio out back only has a small table and 4 chairs so no outdoor eating. Surprised to hear that for a property for 8 adults we could only use one of the showers at a time, meant for a long and staggered getting up in the morning. Overall it was a lovely house and garden, and we enjoyed our stay in Ireland but felt a little more attention to detail would have been appreciated. Finally finding the property was not easy as there was no name and although the postcode took us close we then had to try and work out which one it was without any outward indication.

  • "Maura and Tony were wonderful superhosts!"

Their home was everything we anticipated. Upon our arrival there was a warm fire in the fireplace, a bottle of wine and chocolates. So nice. The spacious bright kitchen was well equipped. And there were plenty of useful, staples in the pantry.it felt like your own home. My family and I had a wonderful reunion and Maura’s home was a beautiful space to have experienced it. We would highly recommend this property! And hope to visit it again upon our return home to Ireland! Mary and family.
