Brian the host is very responsive, you won't be stuck if you need something! We had the best holiday and we will definitely be back again, it was one of our favourite houses that we have stayed in!

  • "We chose Sanderling Lodge as a base in Wexford to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our adult children and our grandchildren and our two small well behaved King Charles dogs and were not disappointed."

It is a fine well kept if well used house the core of which is the extensive modern bright and airy kitchen extension which lacks nothing in seating, appliances and everything required to cater for at least 10 guests. The 5 bedrooms in the older part of the house were clean and functional with spotless bed linen with two ensuite including the master bedroom which had lovely views of greenfields surrounding the house and the nearby sea. Plenty of space inside and out for any children in the party to play. Recommend nearby Meylers Pub for best pint of Guinness and food and viewing of the old Windmill. Nearby Carne Beach for swimming as swimming at the local beach Rostoon is not safe but good for fishing. Visit to Mary Barrys in Kilmore a must for best seafood and ambiance in this part of Wexford. Nearby Sigginstown Castle well worth a visit, open on Friday afternoon at 2.30 and 4. Niggles very few, nothing of note except leaky tap in kitchen. Brian the owner very helpful and available if any problems. Overall great holiday.

Thank you for feedback. Great to hear from you. Tap replaced, heating system and controls upgraded. We are delighted to receive such feedback and continue to improve our offering to guests Property Owner

Thank you for your feedback. All refuse is be removed and taken off site in accordance with Covid regulations. Killinick has a machine with tokens for disposal. • "We were a family group of 5 adults, 4 children and our dog and we had a wonderful stay in Sanderling Lodge."

The place was spotlessly clean and lovely and spacious and the beds were really comfy. It could easily hold us all without feeling on top of one another. The garden is huge and well maintained and play area for the younger kids was perfect for keeping them entertained. We had some minor issues with kitchen sockets tripping, kitchen tap getting stuck and one of the upstairs bedroom doors locking, none of which impacted in any major way on our enjoyment of the holiday. Brian was very helpful and communicative and welcomed our feedback and I have no doubt that those issues were sorted for the next guests.

  • "We had a fantastic week's holiday at Sanderling Lodge."

We were a family group of 10 including 4 kiddies, and our dog, and the house far exceeded the description online. The facilities and equipment for cooking were especially good... everything you would ever need to prepare a meal was included. The outside garden space was appreciated by the kiddies who explored the swings, slides and Wendy house . There is lots to see and do in the area but the highlight was definitely our trip to the Saltees to see the puffins. The friendly owner was very helpful giving us lots of advice . We hope to return next year which is the highest compliment we can give .

Great for large family holidays. Great facilities including excellent WiFi. The location is beautiful with an amazing beach a short walk away. The local pub serves a great pint of Guinness and lovely food. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely use this home again.

  • "We all had a great time."

Everything you need is there. House is very spacious and the garden is great for the kids to run about. Brian the owner was lovely. He rang me as soon as i booked and recommended places. I paid £250 deposit and was put straight back into my bank the night we left. Electric and gas was taken out of it but only about £60 for the whole week and we had the gas on a lot. Meylers pub was good with a pool table for the older ones. Highly recommended.

  • "Fantastic house in gorgeous surroundings ."

Lots of space to be together or do your own thing . A few minor points let it down though these were minor . It would have been nice to have been informed at the time of booking that £300 bond was required not after final payment was made . The management need to get tthier act together regarding collection of bond ,one person introduced herself as the cleaner and asked for £400 the next lady asked for £300 after a long conversation with the owner , which we paid no receipt was issued . The oil and electric were to be paid by meter reading on the last day It would have been nice to have been informed what the opening readings were .Neither freezer was usable as they were so iced up .The range cooker only had the ovens usable as the rings were gas. No gas.?The recycling centre only takes cardboard plastic glass etc. Any other waste has to be taken to a local centre at a cost of €8 Don’t mind that but it again would have been nice to know on booking These again were minor points didn’t spoil our holiday in the least

  • "We had a wonderful holiday in Sanderling."

The house is spacious and really well-equipped, with brilliant facilities for families in particular - our children were able to roam safely on the grounds, explore the playground area and enjoy all the toys and games in the house. With the other buildings on-site, it would also be a great venue for a large family gathering. Annabel and Brian were great hosts and so considerate. We would definitely go back.

  • "Sanderling Lodge is a really lovely place to stay."

We stayed with my two sons and their young families and it worked wonderfully , one family with the big boys upstairs, little one in the cot with his mum and dad downstairs and us two in the annex, so, all close but with space and privacy. The wonderful full-length kitchen could have board games at one end, quiet reading at the other and bird watching in the middle. We had wonderful weather so we were out playing ball games in the big garden, or going round to the play area where the kids played on the slides and in the little house which was a big hit. Everything we could need was provided and we would love to stay again. All communication with the owner was straightforward and the caretaker dropped by to check we were all good. (We had a great meal at Mary Barry's, very child friendly with a great menu and play area, so we all reccommend going there.) Thank you for a great family stay, and we look forward to a return.
