  • "We had a delightfully warm welcome from Margaret and her son, which was much appreciated after our long journey."

The drive to the cottage is down a very long and dark country road, something it may be as well to note for the future. The cottage stands in its own grounds. It has a good driveway with ample parking. The garden is in need of some care and the leaves from the many trees around had clearly not been swept up for some time. We were warm and comfortable in the cottage and the good sized kitchen was a pleasure to work in. The bathroom is in desperate need of a complete refurbishment. The shower door was not watertight and water found it's way on or the floor. The loo and hand basin seemed to be leaking. It was a very sparse and unwelcoming room. We enjoyed our holiday but the cottage was a little disappointing

  • "The cottage is a lot smaller than it looks in photos."

It has a lovely big garden but unfortunately it needs a lot of work. The pub restaurant is in walking distance but it’s a dangerous road. We found out on our second visit that they provide a courtesy bus home was great. If you could leave the name and number of a good reliable taxi it would be great. We were badly let down by costal cabs on our last night. We enjoyed our stay lots of beautiful beaches in Wexford.

Even when something went a little wrong, they sorted it as quickly as possible. Thoroughly recommended

  • "We received a wonderful (by telephone) welcome from Margaret Boxwell, our landlady."

Due to COVID-19 all contact had to take place via phone but we received a wonderful welcome nonetheless. She provided many recommendations regarding sites to see, the fascinating history of the area and local excellent restaurants. She was on hand to answer any questions that we had. The area is stunningly beautiful and Peggy's place provided a haven of peace and serenity. We will return.

  • "Absolutely faultless."

This lovely cottage is like a "doll-house" but fitted with every modern comfort. We spend a week there and we felt at home! We were amazed by the warm and kind reception: every little detail was thought of with attention and care. Margaret has a special touch and it reflects in every aspect of the ambience. We highly recommend Peggy's Place. Robert & Roberta
