The property

This charming detached cottage is located on the outskirts of Wellingtonbridge in Bannow in County Wexford.

This bright and spacious accommodation, with its four bedrooms, is waiting for friends and families to discover a fantastic touring base from which to explore all the hidden gems this area has to offer.

Set over two floors, there are four tastefully decorated bedrooms and with the king-size double including en-suite facilities being located on the ground floor, it is ideal for guests who may struggle with stairs.

There is also a shower room on the ground floor and a lovely large family bathroom upstairs.

The beautiful kitchen has plenty of space for all your guests to gather and is well-equipped to ensure you have everything you need to create your gourmet dinner.

The comfortable and delightfully furnished sitting room is a perfect place to relax whilst planning the next day’s explorations or for simply curling up in front of the roaring open fire with your favourite book.

Outside, lawned gardens surround the cottage providing plenty of space for your little ones to let off some steam, whilst watching the cows graze in the adjoining field.

Wellingtonbridge and Carrig on Bannow villages are just a five minute drive away and offer a selection of local amenities including a supermarket, three pubs, a variety of restaurants and take aways.

The beautiful beaches at Bannow and Cullenstown are within easy reach of your property, and drive a little further afield to the Hook Lighthouse, an amazing landmark said to be the oldest operational lighthouse in Europe, which boasts spectacular views of the peninsula from its balcony.

Tintern Abbey is a ten minute drive from the property, and the vibrant town of Wexford is a thirty minute drive away and is where you will find a wide variety of restaurants and traditional Irish music in one of the town’s many bars.

Wexford 12 miles; New Ross 15 miles.

The small village of Wellingtonbridge is situated in the Sunny South East of County Wexford. Located halfway between the bustling towns of New Ross and Wexford, Wellingtonbridge is home to an historic railway station which was once an important location for the loading of sugar beet. Wellingtonbridge offers an excellent central location for touring the South East with Rosslare ferry harbour only a half hour drive away. Attractions include the beautiful 13th century monastery at Cullenstown, Bannow and Duncannon, perfect for family days out and romantic strolls. The stunning John F Kennedy Arboretum and the Kennedy homestead are located close to New Ross where the fascinating Dunbrody Famine Ship can be viewed. Hook Head Lighthouse is one of the highlights in this region and the coastal drive along this peninsula is almost as good as the lighthouse itself! There are plenty of traditional pubs, seafood eateries and glorious walking trails around the region so you will not be short of things to do. A wonderful location to discover this beautiful county and its stunning coastline.
