  • "A spacious, well equipped cottage in a great location."

For us the ground floor large ensuite bedroom was an essential. Good phone and WiFi connectivity, on site private parking , laundry facilities include a drier which was great as we stayed in winter. Easy access to the Jurassic coast yet several beautiful walks direct from the cottage. Henny, the host, lives nearby and is easily contactable by phone if needed.

  • "The photos advertising the property don’t do it justice!"

We were pleasantly surprised to have the whole house! Very spacious and well equipped. We loved the beautiful private garden and enjoyed sitting under the parasol in the sunshine. The cottage was super accessible to the coast and countryside which was great for us. We hope to return and would definitely highly recommend to others!!

  • "We were warmly welcomed by Henny and given a gift of delicious brownies."

The cottage is beautiful, very spacious, immaculately clean and was generously supplied with everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water on demand for the fabulous showers and bath. All the appliances are good quality and easy to use, the laundry room was a great bonus for getting our beach towels washed and dried. We loved sitting in the garden and conservatory enjoying the sun and watching the birds, it was so peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed exploring the towns, beaches and National Trust properties all within easy driving distance and then coming back to our lovely home from home. Thank you Henny for letting us enjoy your beautiful cottage, we hope we can come again!

The garden was a delight to relax in and we had fun playing games on the lawn. Thank you Henny for the warm welcome and the delicious brownies.

  • "As the owner didn't meet us on arrival, as stated, we had no information on how to use any appliances in the kitchen, even finding the hidden cutlery drawer was a challenge."

There was no local information provided, e.g. nearest shop, places to eat, local walks etc. On day 3 heating went off, information pack in property stated heating was switched off in summer (not mentioned in your on line information) so we assumed this had happenned untill hot water ran out on day 5. Owner contacted who visited and after investigating said the heating oil tank was empty Blamed an oil leak? So several cold nights and 1 day only a cold shower. Overall a loveley cottage but let down by owners lack of customer care. Left us rather dissapointed.

  • "Very clean spacious cottage in a beautiful location."

The owner met us on arrival and was very helpful with anything we required. The cottage had everything you could need. The only one issue for us was the peace & quite that we’re expecting was ruined most days by the house at the back of the cottage that had 2 or maybe 3 dogs that would constantly bark every morning and was very annoying and spoilt our holiday. If you like barking dogs, book this cottage.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm so very sorry about the dogs barking. I understand the house next door were looking after someone else's dog that week and they were a bit overexcited. We have never had any other complaints about the dogs - I am just so sorry it happened in your week. kind regards. Property Owner

A rare find in that it was very well catered for both my older parents and young children. Henny's hospitality and communication were fantastic. We wish her every continued success with the cottage and hope to be able to return one day!

  • "Lovely weeks stay at this property, it was spacious, clean and recently renovated very nicely."

Henny greeted us and was very welcoming and helpful with suggestions of things to do and places to eat. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 children and it suited us perfectly, the garden was secure and lovely for the children to play in as we were lucky enough to have some great weather! The place is perfect for unwinding and relaxing. Forbe Abbey is around the corner, and a few beaches we visited were a 25 minute drive away.

  • "Very enjoyable stay in a beautiful rural setting."

The cottage and its’ garden were lovely and made for a great base for exploring the coastline of Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Cornwall. The property was well-equipped, furnished and decorated throughout - and managed to blend the modern and the traditional with great success. The owner, Henny, also runs a food business - and offered to deliver various baked items, which were tasty with good quality fillings - and fresh farm milk. The beds were very comfortable and our party all slept very well throughout the stay. The log burner created a nice cosy atmosphere in the snug/TV room, after dinner during some chilly March evenings.
