Having once been split into two apartments the cottage has two en-suite bedrooms, a lovely double room on the first floor, and a ground floor versatile super king-size zip /link double, that can be a twin on request.
A pretty, first floor sitting room is dual aspect and bright and airy, boasting wonderful views across the grounds and countryside beyond.
A spacious dining area is on the ground floor which serves as the main entrance and leads to a neat galley kitchen.
Outside to the front there is a sunny patio equipped with seating and table, and to the rear, a dinky, private garden, surrounded with pretty, flowering shrubs which offers a lovely spot for an afternoon cream tea as the sun creeps around the side of the cottage.
The immaculate grounds are shared with the other cottages on site, and have a barbecue area and seating for picnics or relaxing with a good book.
Membury lies in a beautiful corner of the Blackdown Hills an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is conveniently placed to explore East Devon, Dorset and Somerset, with close proximity to all three borders.
The market town of Axminster is just 4 miles away where you will find the Axminster River Cottage Canteen and just outside the town, River Cottage HQ.
Visit the coastal town of Seaton and the new Seaton Jurassic, or a stroll along Seaton Wetlands and discover the wildlife that live in along the scenic estuary.
The popular coastal resort of Lyme Regis is 9 miles.

The woods at Trinity Hill, just outside of Axminster provide a lovely circular woodland walk and the Tea Pot cafe at Miller Farm Shop at Kilmington makes a great place to stop for a cup of tea and slice of cake.
There are some super gastro pubs in the area, The Tytherleigh Arms, on the way to Chard comes highly recommended although it may be worth booking in advance.
