    “Perfect Retreat!”

    Fabulously well appointed apartment with stunning views. Equipped to a high standard. Warm and very comfortable. We had a great weekend here despite the terrible weather. Could have sat looking at the view all day and night. Mrs Anderson was lovely and extremely helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend or indeed, return.

The property

This first-floor apartment is one of eight ½ mile from Salcombe’s heart and 500 yards along a footpath from the beach at North Sands.

Sunny and comfortable, it is a welcoming and handy base in a lovely area.

You enter the apartment via level access from your parking area, then head through to the open plan living space where you can snuggle down on the L-shaped sofa to watch TV or enjoy a lovely sea view, and even slide open doors to eat on the balcony on a sunny day, whilst looking around the coast.

The two bedrooms, a double and a twin, are pretty rooms to relax in after a busy day discovering the delights of the area.

To the side of the building is a shared lawn which you are welcome to use.

There is never a dull moment in this beautiful coastal spot.

Head into Salcombe town to eat out at excellent restaurants, have a drink at a waterside pub and browse interesting little shops.

If activity appeals, this is a prime boating area and you can hire boats or take the pedestrian ferry across to more beaches at smart East Portlemouth.

There is a choice of impressive National Trust houses and gardens to explore, and of course North Sands is perfect for bucket and spade seaside fun.

3 Hazeldene is an excellent spot for relaxing and enjoying the South Hams.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
