The property

Newton Cross House is the major part of a lovely Georgian country manor, situated in Newton Tracey, Devon.

Bursting with character and retaining many original features including solid wood floors, sash windows, and a sweeping staircase, this property is finished to a superb standard of quality, with eclectic furnishings, crystal chandeliers and stylish rooms.

A lovely outlook across an acre and a half of land is backed by the village cricket field, with countryside beyond.

The local town of Barnstaple has many attractions, including the Barnstaple Pannier market for shopping, and for keen walkers, follow the Tarka Trail, which is a series of foot and cycle paths.

Bideford and Appledore are a short drive away, whilst in 15 minutes you can be in Instow with a fabulous, dog friendly beach and bars/restaurants overlooking the estuary to Appledore.

Also within driving distance is the museum of Barnstaple and North Devon which covers the history of North Devon, and the beaches of Westward Ho!, Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton Sands.

This small village of North Devon is located equidistant from Bideford and Bishop's Tawton, near the traditional town of Barnstaple. This village plays host to the 16th century oak beamed Hunter's Inn, serving delicious food and fine ales, centred around a friendly atmosphere and cosy open fire. It is located at the heart of some beautiful walking country, convenient for Barnstaple, Bideford and Torrington. Barnstaple is a bustling town, just a short drive from the Exmoor National Park, with shops, restaurants and bars, along with two sandy beaches. The town is renowned for its floral displays, having won a Britain in Bloom award and it rests at the end of the marvellous Tarka line railway, opening up a plethora of attractions within easy reach.
