  • "We had a very enjoyable stay at Hartland View."

    The owner, Phil, lives on the premises and could not have been more helpful. The property was clean and comfortable with super views over the sea. It was a very peaceful place to stay. There are steep steps from the car parking area to the property and from the property down to the esplanade. You are advised of these in the property description. I experience some difficulty walking but was able to manage the steps without any difficulty. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

    The apartment was very clean, well equipped and the beds were comfortable. Phil, the host was extremely helpful. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

The property

Hartland View is located within the main property of Chichester House.

Located on the sea front on the Esplanade opposite Barricane beach is a stunning apartment, ideal for a family or couple looking to explore Devon.

The views are uninterrupted and show Woolacombe bay in its entirety from your room and patio area, Lundy Island being right opposite the property.

The kitchen/diner houses contains plenty of amenities to cater to your culinary needs, as well as a lovely bench where guests can dine together or enjoy a family games night then freshen up in the bathroom and snuggle up in one of the two bedrooms, with the choice of a double and a twin.

One car place comes with your booking at the rear of the property, with steps leading down to your personal private entrance that only you will have access to, the walkway is gated giving you a private area secure for pets or children outside your flat.

Access to the front of the property leading directly onto the Esplanade is down some steps on the side of Chichester House, these steps are fairly steep and require a reasonable amount of mobility however, many people manage carrying surf equipment etc down on a daily basis.

A walk over the Esplanade puts you onto the short path down onto Barricane beach, and less than half a mile walk from the main beach you can find Woolacombe village, where food and refreshments are readily available to suit your taste.

We hope you find our location quiet and relaxed away from the busy village, close enough for your needs, but far enough to be tranquil and relaxing.

A rear patio area is available, which is away from the wind and private for sun bathing or reading.
