We loved our stay at Oyster Cottage and would happily return . Perfect for 2 couples or a family ( sitting room sits 4 ). Located up a quiet lane and enjoyable walk to Salcombe .

  • "The cottage was lovely with everything you need however the location wasn’t ideal."

A great place if you want to explore the area and then stay in at night. The cottage is situated at the bottom of a long narrow single track lane. Ok if you’re used to driving/walking down similar tracks but a bit of a white knuckle ride hoping that you don’t meet cars coming in the other direction if you’re not, we did. Very few if any pull in points so it’s reveres down the long track. At night there is no lighting apart from the occasional house and again even though it’s only 20/25 min walk it is steep and very dark. If you’re staying in Autumn/Winter months and out walking back after dark take a torch.I don’t want this to be negative as we had a great time and loved the cottage but it needs to be clear about location and access. Also to note if you’re using satnav it doesn’t get you there, once it says you’ve arrived keep going. It’s about another 5/10 mins down the track.

Delighted you enjoyed your stay. Hope the country lanes won't put you off coming again. Property Owner

  • "We absolutely loved the cottage and the location and had the most wonderful holiday, apart from being wrongly accused of causing damage to the sofa seat cushion and carpet."

If we ever book through your company again then we will most certainly insist on an inspection with yourselves when we take over to avoid anything like this happening again. Sending photos of the damage does not prove who did it, it just shows that someone has caused the damage.

  • "Lovely stay in Batson Creek once again."

I’ve been holidaying in this area for 40 years now and never get bored. Really comfortable relaxing cottage. Managed to have the wood burner going on for one night – not quite cold enough!! Thank you.

  • "Lovely cottage in a very quiet location perfect for exploring and walking but no facilities within easy reach, I should have researched more before booking as we had two elderly relatives with us meaning we had to drive everywhere which was not ideal."

Cottage had everything we needed and generally clean but could do with a deep clean (under / behind furniture and a re-decoration). Many thanks for a pleasant stay

Redecorated and deep cleaned from top to bottom now, should you wish to stay again. Sorry you had a few issues. Property Owner

  • "Really comfortable cosy cottage with everything provided that you need for a break away."

Perfect - apart from long walk back uphill from Salcombe!

Delighted that you enjoyed your stay. I always look on the walk as my daily exercise so I can have an extra crab sandwich!! Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage."

Radiators were a problem. Local office tried very hard to resolve problems but were unsuccessful Luckily there was a log burner which kept sitting room comfortable. If the temperature had been slightly lower bedrooms would have been cold Luckily we had spare duvets which werent being used which helped Otherwise a good holiday.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the radiator problem. They were new and untried, they are now being replaced. I am very pleased you had a good holiday despite this issue. Amanda Property Owner
