The property

Found at the upper end of Devon Road and within 10/15 minutes walk of the town is the studio apartment Sunrise, 8 Melbury.

Salcombe’s waterfront, shops and restaurants and within easy walking distance and the sandy beach at North Sands is just a few minutes’ drive away.

There are excellent views towards South Pool Creek from the studio and patio. There is a small well-equipped kitchen and the living and bedroom area are a good sized, comfortable room combining living and sleeping quarters!

Furnished with a pine double bed with second fold-away bed in a cupboard for a third person or child, two comfortable armchairs, bedside unit, pine table with three chairs and digital TV.

The large picture-window provides estuary views.

Separate sliding doors leading to kitchen and bathroom respectively, whilst the bathroom is fitted with a bath and shower over.

Outside is a patio with table and chairs and use of communal garden with tables and chairs at the rear of the property.

There is parking at the rear of the property. Please note there is a slope down to the property from the parking area at the rear.

If accessing the property from Devon Road there are some steps.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
