“The welcome we received from Sarah was a great start as was the welcome hamper.”

The farmhouse is stunning and very well equipped. The locals were all very friendly and inviting. A lovely stay.

A more formal parlour boasts a stunning Belgian black slate fireplace and offers an elegant spot to find a quiet moment, while down the hall is the lovely dining room, complete with furnishings hundreds of years old and a wet bar, with windows overlooking the patio.

A shower room and a cloakroom complete the ground floor, while the first floor can be reached via the main staircase or the quaint servants' staircase, the latter leading to a children's play area.

The hand-crafted oak staircase brings you to six beautifully fitted bedrooms, comprising of four double bedrooms, a twin room and an opulent super-king-size bedroom, served by two bathrooms both boasting freestanding baths with original fixtures, with one also home to a walk-in shower.

The wonder continues outside in the enclosed garden where a sloping lawn can host summer games, a patio area provides a lovely spot for alfresco dining, a large terraced deck hosts a luxurious 5-seat hot tub and an outbuilding offers a snooker table, dart board and putting mat, as well as storage too!

Being just a 600-metre walk from Beer Beach, Rock Farm is perfect for those seeking a seaside break with plenty of beach days, watersporting adventures and rambles along the coast.

Enjoy strolling around the village and the selection of local amenities including dog-friendly pubs, village shops and takeaways, all alongside local craft shops and historic buildings.

About the location

BEER

Seaton 1.5 miles; Lyme Regis 9 miles; Sidmouth 9.5 miles; Exeter 25 miles.

Beer is a small picturesque fishing village on the south Devon coast near Seaton. The shingle beach is very sheltered, backed by limestone cliffs and was once fertile smuggling territory, plus contraband was hidden in nearby caves, which are now a popular tourist attraction. Beer is situated on the stretch of Devon coastline, known as the Jurassic Coast, a designated World Heritage Site, and the village offers sloping streets lined with picturesque stone houses and cottages built on many different levels of the steep valley sides. There are a good range of shops, friendly cafes, restaurants and pubs in Beer, plus just outside the village is the popular Pecorama Gardens, which are perched on the hill overlooking Lyme Bay. Pecorama boasts the Beer Heights Light Railway and indoor model railway exhibition, along with a childrens' play area. Beer is a unique Devon fishing village and a great place to stay.
