“The Lobster Pot is a hidden gem.”
Everything is finished to such a high standard. The house is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need...even down to wine bottle stoppers! We felt at home from the minute we arrived. The beds are comfortable and the en suites are an added luxury without the waiting time for a large party to share a bathroom. The dog shower by the main door was very useful after a few hours on the beach with a dirty dog! The creme de la creme was the view from three of the bedrooms and living area. It was so beautiful and really was idyllic. I couldn’t praise this property any more. It really was perfect!- Elise, August 2019

“This was our second visit to the Lobster Pot, we love the house and the location.”
On our first visit to the Lobster Pot we were one of the first visitors to stay there, so this time around we were pleasantly surprised to find the house still presented immaculately a year later to the day. We will certainly be back!!- James, July 2019
What lovely feedback! We were so pleased that we could welcome you back for a second visit to the Lobster Pot, and hopefully we will see you again soon! Property Owner
“We have just returned from a week in the Lobster Pot.”
The house is fantastic and Is a real home from home. It has everything you require the owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. We loved our holiday so much that we have booked again for next year.- Gemma, June 2019
“Fabulous house with all mod cons.”
Would benefit from TV's in both double bedrooms downstairs- , Jun 2019
“We have rated the cottage highly however we had a number of challenges to overcome which were addressed by Coast & Country but not having a local contact made it much more difficult and less personal to resolve - which has historically been the reason we have used C & C.”
On arrival the external bins were over flowing - we decanted these ourselves, however the scheduled bin collection arrived and did not visit the premises. We reported this and C & C arranged for them to be emptied. The first evening, we were part way through cooking our evening meal when the electric went out - the food was ruined, no candles were available, and we spent many hours in the dark which isn't ideal as our party included an old age pension, toddler and a property spread over three floors! Hot water was a problem, many cold showers were taken, C & C provided engineers twice and on the second visit changed the standard settings for heating the water, These settings were not available to us to change ourselves. The location of the property is superb!- S R, April 2019
“The lobster pot is in a fabulously coastal location with stunning views and beautiful walks.”
Just be prepared and have a Tesco delivery booked or take plenty of supplies as the nearest shop is a 20 min drive! That said, the Cricket Inn which is just along from the house is lovely and serves great food!- Melanie, December 2018

The small fishing village of Beesands is situated within the South Hams area of Devon, within reach of the towns of Kingsbridge and Salcombe. Beesands has a Blue Flag, mile-long shingle beach, a village green, a beach shop and café, a fishing tackle shop, the award-winning Cricket Inn and a large freshwater lake, known as Widdecombe Ley, from where a variety of bird and wildlife can be seen. Close by is the small village of Hallsands, which has a dog-friendly, unspoilt beach, and linking both villages is the National Trust’s South West Coast Path. The sheltered South Hams Peninsula is in 'deepest Devon', a pastoral landscape of flowering hedgerows and ancient sunken lanes, carved into by the richly wooded Avon and Dart Valleys. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is decorated with white, pink and ochre thatched cottages, picturesque fishing ports such as Dartmouth, and is renowned for its stunning coastline, popular with yachting enthusiasts. Nearby, uncover the beauty of Blackpool Sands and Torcross, a historic site where the Normandy landings were practiced; explore the nature reserve at Slapton Ley, and stroll along Slapton Beach, feeling the soft sand between your toes. Park at East Portlemouth and catch the ferry across to the beautiful seaside town of Salcombe with its renowned estuary, or visit the Start Point Lighthouse, which is a few miles away. Beesands is a wonderful base for uncovering the unspoilt beauty of Devon and the South Hams, all year round.
