  • "Our stay was wonderful and our surroundings were beautiful."

The hosts were very lovely in making us feel welcome, blessed with truly gorgeous weather as well. Thank you Julie and Andy

  • "We had a wonderful time at Foxglove Cottage - proximity to the river was awesome and the owners created a wonderful serene environment which we enjoyed."

The hot tub (with amazing views) was well used too. We were treated with the appearance of deers and rabbits few times whilst watching some amazing sunsets. Julie and Andy were incredibly helpful and did everything to make our stay a delight. Julie accepted our Tesco delivery and put away fridge/freezer items as we were delayed due to traffic and getting lost! The only negative to mention is we had problems with our devices and WiFi availability but we were in such a peaceful location, it didn’t matter in the end. Loved staying at the Cottage - excellent central location to the Eden Project and the coast.

  • "When we arrived we knew we'd made the right choice ."

The owners greeted us with such a warm welcome . The cottages is set in what I can only describe as idyllic. Views of fantastic greenery and what I'd call forest. A perfect setting you just relax instantly . The cottage is well equip with every thing you could possibly want ,no detail missed . Once settled a short walk down to the river that runs at the end of the property . The owners have put seats along the bank so relaxing to the sound of running water is just what was ordered . I have been to many self catering cottages but this by far is the best I have stayed in .

  • "Everything about this letting was wonderful."

The cottage was spotless and very comfortable and the grounds were stunning with plenty of space and wildlife. The owners were just next door and were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely week. If I was pushed for anything negative it would just be the constant road noise from the A30 but even that was muted and we got used to it and it wasn’t a surprise as it’s easy to see on the map and it made for quick easy access to get out and about. All in all a wonderful place and would fully recommend .

Thank you for your feedback and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. Your feedback back regarding the road noise is on our list, we are planning the planting of some heavy foliage hedging to run along the boundary of our front gardens to try and reduce this as much as possible. Thank you once again, Andy and Julie Property Owner

  • "Foxglove Cottage is an excellent pristine holiday home."

The grounds are beautiful, with trees and lawned areas as well as roses, and yes foxgloves. Nearby, about 100 metres away, is the Rover Fowey, providing a photo opportunity. A well kept hot tub is well suited to a family of 6. The house is well equipped with shower/bath and a second shower. The accomodation is flexible with twin beds capable of conversion to a zipped king or super-king. Our hosts Andy and Julie were very friendly, but unobtrusive.

The owners live on the same site and are welcoming and approachable. The Camel Trail, about 10 mins by car, is good for walks and the Flory Restaurant in Bodmin serves excellent meals. Further afield at the farm shops at St Kew and Boscastle are excellent lunches using local produce. They do get busy though.

  • "We enjoyed the perfect family holiday staying at Foxglove Cottage."

The accommodation is an immaculate renovation, set in beautiful gardens with the space for our four boys to run, play and explore. It's an idyllic spot, surrounded by woodland and a shallow river running along the back of the property perfect for paddling. It's also a great location from which to explore the rest of Cornwall. Equidistant from both the northern and southern Cornish coastlines, we made very easy day trips to Padstow, Polzeath and Tintagel in the north and Porthleven in the south. Andy and Julie were perfect hosts, hugely welcoming, we were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived and they were on hand for anything we needed. Their hospitality was a big part of making our whole trip such a great experience. We could not recommend this holiday more highly, we had a wonderful two weeks and our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer!

The cottage is in a beautiful spot and is surrounded by large gardens where we enjoyed the sun and the kids played games. The outside furniture is in a perfect spot to catch the evening sun. The cottage itself is perfect. Newly decorated and the photos on the site do not do it justice and we were amazed when we arrived to see how beautiful it actually is. I would definitely recommend staying here. The cottage is situated in a great location and has supermarkets nearby and not far from many places to visit. It is located in a beautiful setting, surrounded by trees, rabbits, birds and cows! There is also a stream at the back of the property that you can access easily - our kids loved paddling there almost as much as playing with the trampoline, swings, and Max the cat! The owners were brilliant, hugely welcoming and cottage exceeded expectations (the pictures online don’t do it justice!). It has been recently renovated - it was spotless and very comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay and all the fittings and furnishings were new and clean. The addition of stair gates and plastic crockery for the young guests was such a helpful detail.
