  • We had a number of issues with this property: The online description was not accurate and partly described the nearby cottage, not the lodge.

“The description said there was a real log fire and an AGA cooker but there was neither. The lodge was listed as being suitable for 4 people but there was not enough crockery for the 3 of us, never mind 4! There were no cereal bowls. There were no lids to the saucepans. There was no toaster. The en-suite toilet did not flush properly. The en-suite sink leaked out of the bottom onto the floor (fixed during our stay). The main bedroom cupboard door hinge was broken on one side. The shower door was detached at the bottom and was not safe in my opinion. There was no guest information about how to shut off water / gas / electricity, or resetting the electricity if it tripped. The electricity did trip off during our stay. The gas cooker had a damaged gas ring which I reported directly to the owner Rebecca. This ring IS NOT SAFE!! There was no COVID QR code on arrival. The carpet in the living area had not been hoovered under the table and was covered in white pet hair. General cleanliness throughout the lodge was not good, not to the standard we expected. We did not expect it to be immaculate but did expect a basic level of cleanliness which was not met. There were no mattress protectors, or pillow protectors on the beds.”
