This isolated hamlet rests on the wild and open moorland of Dartmoor, just a few miles away from the award-winning market town of Tavistock. The village houses a number of notable buildings, including a parish church which was built in the 14th century in a typical Devon-style, a former school house and a manor house which is now a working farm. A short drive will bring you to the larger town of Tavistock which houses a superb selection of pubs, bistros and restaurants, as well as a theatre, a cinema, a leisure pool and an indoor pannier market. Within the surrounding area you will find superb cycling on The National Cycle Network no. 27 and a number of wonderful National Trust properties to explore. Further afield attractions include the Eden Project and the glorious coastline of Devon with its superb surfing beaches.
