  • "We had a really lovely stay at Whites Meadow during our October half term."

There was 4 adults, 4 children and a dog there was plenty of space for us all. They had everything we could need an inventory before could have been helpful we took quite a few things with us that were already there. It was a really lovely cottage with lots of character our children had great fun playing hide and seek. There was lots to do in the area and we had a great time and would visit again in the future.

Lovely comfortable property but feel it needs some maintenance (gutters, overflow pipe, outside decoration) would definately go back again

The house is amazing and very comfortable beds. It had everything you would need for a holiday. The kitchen was well equipped. Some great history on this house and it is huge. I would say it does need redecorating just to give it a nice clean feel. I would not hesitate to book again if we were back in the area.

! So big and roomy with gorgeous garden and views . The kids and dogs loved the space it felt like home from home ...would definitely like to return! The village is so friendly with its little shop and park right near the house. The Bicknoller inn is great to wander down to which takes you through the pretty ,thatched houses. Pub at Watchet ...the star does great food too. Blue Anchor Bay is lovely for walks on the sand and fossilised and chrystals. Thankyou such a lovely holiday

  • "Excellent, spacious property, very suitable for a family or a few friends together as plenty of space to spread out."

Exceptionally spacious bedrooms. Big enclosed garden, best to shoo the chickens back next door if dogs are in there ! Very friendly village shop and pub. Plenty of on site parking. Really nice feel to the property with heritage bits about. Super quiet. Only a couple of niggles, threadbare towels in kitchen and downstairs loo - take your own; some of the mugs have seen better days and would be a cheap fix for the owners. Beds in the twin room are what looks like ancient metal frames and very saggy mattresses, ok only for lightweight children in my opinion. All other beds very good. Grubby baking trays and only a few dishwasher tablets and toilet rolls - take spares

  • "We are a large family of 6 (kids aged 9, 10, 13 and 15) plus a dog."

Had a really restful and enjoyable February half term week away staying in Whites Meadow. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, plenty of room for everyone (even the teenage boys had enough room to space out and enjoy the break without moaning!) The house was really well equipped, the children especially liked choosing their mugs each day from the selection hanging in the kitchen! Was so nice to go to a truly dog friendly property, so many properties you arrive at and suddenly there are masses of restrictions on the dog which haven't been advertised so you can make an informed choice as to whether the property will be suitable for your dog and this can make a holiday stressful. In comparison Whites Meadow really didn't do that, no dogs on beds or furniture but that was all which made it really relaxing for us, especially as our dog is a therapy dog used to having access to children in their rooms if they need him! We had a small plumbing issue late one evening at around 11pm which we let the owner know straight away and they called the next morning by 10am with a plan already in place to get it sorted and a man came to see what needed doing soon after the phone call with the issue itself then fixed within a couple of days, we were really impressed with the helpfulness and speed from the owner in sorting things. Having the second sitting room where the teenagers could relax and watch TV was really useful to give us all some time to unwind. Our younger girls had plenty of room in the twin room to spread out with their toys and relax as well which helped to make the whole week away enjoyable all round as everyone had the room they needed to decompress. There are loads of dog walks right from the property, we wish we had more time to explore the area but were glad of a dry week where we could enjoy at least some of the area with a couple of beach trips for dog walks as well as around the hills in the locality. We loved our stay here and all of us hope to be able to return again in the future, would highly recommend this property!

The whole house was great lots of room to spread out with 2 year old twin boys and a English bulldog it was ideal. The bedrooms were great and the boys loved their big bed and slept through each night. Just a couple of suggestions 1. The property was very cold when we got there and it took a long yime for the temperature to get up. 2.The tap in the kitchen was dripping. 3.Only 1 black bag was left so we had to put our rubbish in to the clear ones we had taken with us

The beds are so comfy and the pillows and duvets are a dream! The kids and dog enjoyed the space inside and the garden. Plenty of parking and the house's position is fantastic. A little park just opposite for the kids, a village shop, and the bicknoller inn, where we had a fantastic meal on our last night, within walking distance. Cannot fault this house in any way.
