The driveway offers parking for two cars, as well as a large lawned garden, which wraps around the property, boasting a seating area where you can enjoy the incredible views in this tranquil location.

Step inside the property to be met with a games room, the perfect place to enjoy some friendly competition, with a small pool table, ping pong table and a darts board, there's even a children's dart board so the little ones can join in the fun too.

From here, head down the hallway to the living/dining room; neutrally styled with fresh white painted walls, offering large sofas to relax on while you enjoy a movie night on the provided TV with DVD Player, as the heat of the electric 'woodburning' effect stove fills the room and adds to the cosy ambiance, along with a dining table where you can enjoy home-cooked meals.

This room overlooks the sunroom, which provides a peaceful spot to relax, with furniture that can easily be taken outdoors, and offering views across the pretty garden.

The kitchen/diner offers a second dining area, along with a contemporary and neutral décor, with sleek cream units, matching appliances and spacious wooden worktops, where you can prepare home-cooked meals.

There is a handy utility room with a washing machine, for your convenience, as well as a cloakroom with basin and WC.

Two of the five bedrooms are located on this floor; a double and a twin, the latter boasting garden and sea views, both served by a family bathroom with a choice of bath and walk-in shower.

Head up the open tread staircase to find the remaining three bedrooms; the master king-size boasts a balcony, which is a truly tranquil spot to sit out and take in the views with a morning coffee, while a further twin room has a huge window, allowing in plenty of light and making the most of the views, and the final single bedroom is ideal for a child, all of which are served by a shower room.

Venture into the village centre, just a short walk away, where you will find all you need for your daily essentials at the local beach shop.

There are excellent walking opportunities on the island, with an ancient lookout at its peak boasting incredible views of the coast.

About the location

Modbury 6 miles; Plymouth 12 miles.

Bigbury-on-Sea is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is ideal for family holidays. Dusted with sand and lapped by shallow waters, the beach offers safe fun for groups particularly if you’ve got children in tow. In addition, Bigbury-on-Sea beach is dotted with rock pools, so there’s plenty of entertainment for budding marine biologists. There’s also a wide and varied selection of watersports available to visitors who prefer their holidays to feature a little adrenaline rush. Windsurfing and kite-surfing are popular here, with hire facilities located right on the beach. To give you some peace of mind, there are lifeguards present at Bigbury-on-Sea beach during May to September and the beach also has a first-aid room. You can even take the dog onto the beach, although they are restricted to certain areas during the summer. Bigbury’s most famous landmark is Burgh Island, which overlooks the beach itself. The island is accessible at low tide, when the waters reveal a causeway that links it to the beach. However, when the tide is in you can still reach the island by hitching a ride on the popular and unique ‘sea tractor’. Burgh Island boasts an award-winning hotel, elegant and rather genteel, it’s an ideal romantic retreat for couples. Explore the South Devon coast with its fabulous sandy beaches and its breathtakingly beautiful coastal path or simply take time to visit some of the charming estuary towns and villages dotted throughout the area, such as Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. The city of Plymouth and the wild open spaces of Dartmoor are also both close at hand.
