South Molton 3 miles. These two superb holiday homes are situated approximately 1 mile from each other on the owners’ working livestock farm, surrounded by countryside, and close to the market town of South Molton in Devon. Both of these delightful cottages provide a convenient base for families and friends who wish to explore the wonderful Exmoor National Park and North Devon coast. Sleeping six people, Woodland Hideaway is the larger of the two properties and is attached to the owners’ farmhouse, down a private drive, on the 300-acre farm. Boasting views across a pretty woodland river valley, the cottage provides a quiet setting for a holiday within this part of Devon. Drewstone Arches on the other hand is a traditional 16th century cottage, sleeping five people. This welcoming cottage is surrounded by farm meadows and overlooks the picturesque valley, making it a peaceful place to stay. Outside, both cottages have their own enclosed lawned garden, as well as access to a children’s play area and shared grounds. Approximately half a mile from Drewstone Arches is the river, leading to North Moulton, while this is approximately 1 mile from Woodland Hideaway. The farm itself was featured on the ITV programme 'Johnny Kingdom's Wild Exmoor' in 2015. There are plenty of lovely walks from the farm, including a wooded trail down to a valley, and you will always have a smile on your face when you see the bleating lambs in the fields. Also this area is one of the Dark Sky Reserves in the UK which makes this a superb stargazing location, so settle down into the evening and enjoy a hot drink, whilst you admire the wonderful night’s sky. Three miles away is the village of South Molton, which offers interesting shops, pubs and cafes, a supermarket and a swimming pool. In the area there are a number of farm shops and pretty villages, with three country pubs within four miles. Close by is the stunning Exmoor National Park, where you can explore the beautiful landscape on foot or on horseback, plus there are a wealth of outdoor activities on offer, including cycling, fishing and birdwatching. The dramatic North Devon coastline is also within reach, with numerous beauty spots to explore, such as Lynmouth, Watersmeet, Clovelly, Dunster, Landacre Bridge and Tarr Steps, and the beaches at Croyde and Woolacombe provide the finest quality surf and sand. Woodland Hideaway and Drewstone Arches provide quality accommodation in a stunning location.
This charming semi-detached cottage which is attached to the owner's home, offers a spacious, light and airy sitting room with woodburning stove that will keep you cosy and warm on cool evenings.
After a day out and about, gather around the dining area in the kitchen, or open the patio doors in the sitting room and enjoy an evening meal in the lawned garden, which includes a children's play area.
Completing the accommodation are three bedrooms, including a ground floor twin room, as well as a bathroom.

The attractive market town of South Molton is known as The Gateway to Exmoor and is ideally placed in North Devon, boasting a range of shops, amenities and a twice weekly market. Being pleasantly situated not far from both coastal and inland beauty spots it will suit visitors of all tastes. In close proximity are forests, moors, rivers and coast, with churches and other buildings of historical significance. Residents find the quiet charm of the area attractive and visitors soon experience the sense of civic pride held by the locals. There is superb walking on the South West Coast Path and the North Devon beaches are varied and interesting. Visit the National Trust's Watersmeet Gorge, Valley of the Rocks and the funicular cliff railway. Up on Exmoor, there are various walks to suit all abilities, as well as highlights such as Tarr Steps, Landacre Bridge and the village of Withypool. Further afield, the resorts of Ilfracombe and Combe Martin are well worth a visit, and for some of the best beaches in the country, visit Woolacombe and Saunton and Croyde.
