  • "The house was wonderful and the photographs simply don’t do it justice."

The house was far more spacious than we could have even hoped for. All the facilities were top drawer and I wouldn’t think twice about recommending the property.

  • "The house was incredible, the furnishings, cleanliness, everything about it was amazing especially the hot tub."

The Gardner and pool cleaner came while we were there so you knew that the tub was genuinely clean. The bathrooms were stunning and the family bath was the biggest I’ve ever seen. The location is lovely although we did use the car most days to travel to see sights, but coming home was amazing. The owners were really friendly and messaged me so that we could share any concerns (not that we had any). I didn’t want to come home as Nairn was incredible.

The new en suite bathroom with one of the bedrooms is a real wow! Loved the personal email from the owner before and after our stay. Great hot tub. All very clean and comfortable. Great area with short walk to the town and a 5 minute drive to the nearest beach. Would highly recommend.

The photos do not do the cottage justice even more beautiful when you get there! We loved the games room and it kept us entertained each night! The basket of goodies left in the kitchen was a very kind and appreciated gesture. We are planning on going back again every year if we can all get together.

Doesn't need to be anything special, just standard 13 Amp socket.

Dear Guest, we are currently looking into providing an electric car charging point. Once we can establish the right product we will have this installed to improve the service we provide our guests. Thank you very much for your great feedback. We work tirelessly to make sure the house is kept spotlessly clean so appreciate your acknowledgement. Property Owner

  • "As a party of 10 friends, we had a fantastic stay."

The house exceeded our expectations, the pictures don't do it justice. Most of the rooms are huge, giving even 10 people plenty of space. Everything was very clean, all the extras in the house such as dishwasher tabs, tea towels, bin liners and amazing array of kitchen equipment means you can literally turn up with your clothes. There was never anything we wanted that we could not find. We even needed a piece of blu-tack and actually found one. The T.V is huge, the fires and hot tub added to our stay. Thank you Iona and Andy.

  • "Nairn is a beautiful spacious house but with a lovely welcoming, homely feel."

We were extremely impressed with the way the owner had thought of everything and made the house very comfortable with all the equipment that you might want, this was over and above items you might need. The house itself, was spotless. There was a wonderful welcome pack with lots of lovely above average quality items in it. Attention to detail was apparent everywhere. There was the opportunity to do lots on a rainy day or sit in the quiet room and read a book. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed the beaches, the nearest one (Saunton Sands) was our favourite and just 10 minutes away. The owner was in contact by e-mail and both very helpful and friendly with making suggestions and recommendations when asked, always responding promptly. It was a great place for a family get together and we are hoping to return with family members who couldn't make it this time.

  • "A wonderful property with space for all of the family."

Fun in the games room and space outside to stretch out. Time to chill out in the large lounge or in the "library" or even in the hot tub. No waiting around for the bathroom to be free as 5 to choose from! A very enjoyable stay for my family and our close friends family too, plenty of places to go and see in less than an hours drive in North Devon. Thank you Iona & Andy

The only thing I would like to say to improve would be that the images of the property online do not do it justice! The size and space of the rooms is much bigger and more beautiful than the images suggest. I would thoroughly recommend this property for large groups. We had four generations in our group and it was very comfortable.

  • "A much looked forward to family holiday staying at Nairn and it didn’t disappoint."

Eleven family members including 3 children and we were all catered for. We have stayed in many holiday houses and found that we didn’t have enough pans or kitchen equipment, but not here. We were delighted that the cupboards were full of everything we could possibly need. All the rooms and bedrooms were tastefully presented and comfortable, and there were even children’s toys for our 4 year old grandson to play with. If I had one criticism it would be that there wasn’t a tumble dryer. The utility room was equipped with washing machine, iron etc, but no dryer. I would like to say thank you for the lovely welcome pack on arrival, it was very much appreciated, we would definitely recommend Nairn to anyone wanting a fabulous house to stay in for their holiday.

  • "The house and facilities were lovely and to a high standard."

The house was very well equipped and incredibly spacious. Our only complaint would be the fact that the building work was literally going on at the end of the garden so workers were able to look into the garden. In addition the noise sometimes started at 5am with deliveries and normally at 7.30. We were told that work was going on at the other side of a field not at the end of the garden.

Thank you taking the time to leave your feedback and we are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at Nairn. The note (in red) included at the foot of the listing also flashes up when customers proceed to the booking stage (just to be sure all guests are aware). As you'll see the development started in October 2019 and at that time the initial works were three fields away. As anticipated, the works have progressed over time and the development has come closer. The hedging has been planted in order to provide some visual screening and a discount was set in place with the building works in mind. Property Owner

Everything was wonderful, apart from the 'only 6 rule', which couldn't be helped. The house is incredible, very spacious, well maintained & with everything provided for a great holiday for 12 people. Many great spaces for socialising, kitchen, sitting room, hot tub ... Log fire a hit as well, don't forget to get some firelighters. The pictures don't do it justice. The location is perfect, walking distance to town & a short drive to the enormous beaches at Croyd Bay, Woolacombe & Saunton Sands. Sad to leave it. Thanks for letting us enjoy your great house, hopefully we'll get back with all the family soon. Geraldine

Really spacious, beautiful property..such a shame theyr'e starting to build a development at rear of garden. Would highly recommend as close to conveniences, beaches etc. Owner helpful too in replying quickly. Only point I would recommend is that only 2 tvs in whole house..could be some in bedrooms...but I suppose you don't want to be watching alot of tv on holiday! For us the focal point was the cavernous kitchen where, as a group we prepared our Christmas dinner and drank a little wine. the space the house provides is plenty enough if you want to sneak away for a little bit of peace & quiet while allowing everyone else to carry on with whatever they're doing. The Hot tub is an ideal addition regardless of how cold it may be. All in all i would highly recommend this house and i know we will be returning in the not to distant future.

We have been spoilt for space, comfort and amenities that could not be faulted. • "The information stated that there would be FIVE bathrooms - which would have been a bathroom for each couple - but there were only FOUR bathrooms and a toilet."

This is actually misrepresentation and we would have looked for something else, had we known. Apart from that, the house was lovely - spacious, well-appointed and clean. There were something to please everyone - hot tub. table tennis, pool table, garden play items for the children, wood burning stoves, two fridges! The location is ideal for beaches and shops. Although it suggests there is parking for "up to four cars", there is actually plenty of parking.

Thank you for your comments and I am sorry you did not think the description was correct with regard to the bathrooms. We have checked this and believe it is a true reflection of the property as there are 5 wash rooms including the wet room downstairs and a separate toilet which is often welcome by large parties or the less mobile. I know you were there also celebrating a 70th so am very pleased you had a lovely time and enjoyed the area. We appreciate your feedback. Property Owner

  • "The holiday home was beautiful, in a lovely setting and with ample room for all the family."

A couple of items we would have liked to have added would be sun loungers for the garden. There was only limited seating on hard wooden chairs on the patio and no where to lie out on. The other thing would be tvs in at least some of the the bedrooms as with only 2 in the whole house, it was a bit limiting catering for 12 people aged from 3 to 64.

We were a party of 10, 5 adults and 5 children, and the accommodation and facilities were ideal. It is very spacious, and superbly equipped, the kitchen especially. The furnishings are very tasteful and of very high quality, it was a pleasure to live there for a few days. The children had a great time using the hot tub, pool table and XBox, in fact we didn't ever watch TV the whole weekend. The weather was pretty miserable, but somehow that didn't seem to matter. The house was lovely and warm even without the wood burners, though they are a very nice feature too. I highly recommend this property.
