  So peaceful and comfortable too. The welcome was delightful and any enquiry answered. Love the ducks plus the hens all given a second chance in life as they are ex-battery hens. Again the best break I have had in years.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location that was central to all the things we wanted to see. The cottage had great facilities and the secure garden was perfect for our dogs. Great welcome from the owner. We can't wait to book again!

  The enclosed garden was perfect for our dogs who tried and failed to escape. We loved the birds in the garden, the ducks and the dogs enjoyed barking at the squirrels.

  We felt relaxed the moment we arrived. Wonderful setting and atmosphere. Claire was very welcoming and the cake and fresh eggs were much appreciated and enjoyed! The cottage is extremely comfortable and we had everything we needed. The weather wasn’t the best but that didn’t matter as the cottage is perfectly situated for most of Devon and East Cornwall so we just followed the better weather. Loved the ducks and all the well fed wild birds! Already trying to work out when we can return!

• "A perfect getaway with perfect hosts."

  Quiet, pretty, convenient for days out to Dartmoor or the coast, North or South. A very pretty garden to sit in and enjoy the abundant birdlife and listen to the chickens and ducks. Being disabled I suggested the installation of a grabrail by the shower, it was in place the following day! A wonderful holiday.

• "We loved little week cottage!"

  What a find. Perfect location for exploring Dartmoor and little towns and villages. Lovely welcome from owners who greeted us personally when we arrived. All we needed for a relaxing break was there in abundance (including delicious cake, and freshly laid eggs). We were sorry to leave.

  Clare and Lee were very friendly and made us very welcome. The cottage is lovely and the bedroom is a good size. Cottage was absolutely spotless and not a cobweb in site!! You can really tell that Clare and Lee have pride in their business. The location is also great being on the edge of Dartmoor and near to Okehampton. It’s so quiet and we were delighted to see a Great Spotted Woodpecker on the bird feeder most mornings. I would highly recommend this cottage and would absolutely love to stay again.

  And a nice welcome from Clare with a lovely cake and eggs from her hens waiting for us. It had everything we needed. We also found some great walks from the property. Also the White Hart pub in the village is well worth a visit.

  It is quaint and roomy. It is a quiet location with easy access to Dartmoor. The garden was secure which our little dog appreciated. We had a warm welcome from Claire with eggs, milk and a wonderful home made cake. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  The cottage was beautifully clean and was lovely to come back to after a day out. It was really cosey with the log burner. The L ocation gave a us a good base for exploring Dartmoor. The owners are friendly and helpful, and we even had a yummy cake waiting for us on arrival! Highly recommend!

• "A lovely tranquil little cottage close to Dartmoor National Park."

  A little haven to recharge your batteries. We were welcomed by the owner Clare on arrival. Tea for two laid out ready and a lovely Lemon cake and some fresh eggs from the owners own Hens. A beautiful view of Dartmoor from the lovely enclosed garden. Whether you have a dog or just a couple, we can not recommend this lovely Devon cottage enough. We will return one day in the future.

• "What a lovely place to stay!"

  Down a quiet country lane in deepest Devon, with the occasional passing tractor to remind us that we had left suburbia and were on a different planet, as we sat with a beautiful view up to Dartmoor, surrounded by chattering birds feeding off the feeders, amazed by the attractive garden, and debating which pub to visit this evening. BEWARE - Devon shuts on Mondays. But then, its a different time scale. Enjoy.

  Comfortable settees to lounge on for ‘bad weather’ days, lovely log burner and a comfortable bed for the end of the day. Lee and Clare are very welcoming; the lemon drizzle cake was delicious and free range eggs on arrival, much appreciated. PS We can highly recommend Clare’s wonderful home made chutneys and jams.

  Great surprise to see a lemon drizzle cake and fresh eggs on kitchen worktop both tasted great. I have a back problem so What a delight to have a bed that is very comfortable and gave me a great nights sleep. Sit in the garden with a cup of tea (or stronger ) with cake and take in the view. Absolutely great holiday

  Lee and Clare the owners were great, friendly and helpful but without being intrusive. They made us feel very welcome right from the first day. We had a few welcome gifts on arrival which was thoughtful and appreciated. We had an amazing week at the cottage. The view from the garden was stunning. The surroundings and local places to visit were nearby. The cottage is a perfect base to explore Dartmoor and it is not too far to nip over into Cornwall. Our dogs had a fabulous time too and were made to feel welcome. They loved exploring the garden and surrounding areas we visited. The cottage had everything you will need to make your stay amazing. We didn’t want to leave. We can highly recommend staying at Little week cottage.

  The lovely welcome from the hosts, including home made cake and freshly laid eggs, plus milk started the holiday off so well. The hosts were so helpful especially if we experienced any problems.   Arrived to a welcome from Clare, and upon entering Little Week Cottage, we saw that she had left a freshly baked cake, 6 fresh eggs and a pint of milk. The cottage had everything you needed, and very comfortable. Situated in mid devon, all places easily reached. Very quiet and relaxing. Hope to come again and would highly recommend this cottage.

• "What a wonderful cottage!"

  I was worried that it was too close to the A30 as the crow flies but all I could hear was birdsong and the wind in the trees. So comfortable and cosy. Kitchen had everything we could want, and more. Lovely, modern bathroom. Spacious bedroom, comfortable bed, warm bedding. Loved the log burner. We didn’t have good weather but enjoyed days hunkered down with the fire on, just resting. Thank you!

• "We had a wonderful time at Little week cottage, it was so quiet and peaceful."

  We particularly enjoyed being in the private garden with views of Dartmoor and just watching the birds. The location was excellent, it felt like the middle of nowhere but Okehampton was about 20 minutes away, the A30 even closer. There were plenty of shops in Okehampton, and lots of things to do nearby, including places to eat (very good food). We had planned to make lots of day trips, but it was so lovely, most days we just walked from the cottage.
