The cottage was clean and well equipped, in a great location set off the main road with parking and it’s own little court yard

Excellent location with own parking. Just one small request . Would you please ensure that a roll of toilet paper is left in the bathroom. It's not a problem as we can just pop down the road . However it would be useful after a 5 hour car drive. Thanks

  • "We had a fabulous week in brixham and surrounding area."

The property was great, modern and clean. There are a couple of house keeping suggestions, the radiator in the bedrooms needs a good clean, very dusty. The fridge smelt a bit, it would be good to have a freshener in it, and the outdoor seating was broken so unable to use it.

  • "Sofa was unusable in lounge !"

Really and you think this is ok ? Bathroom was filthy and we sent you photos , Kitchen cupboards were greasy all over and dishes had to be cleaned before using Place stinks of dogs

Thank you for your feedback. The material of the sofa, suede, means that it does mark easily, and this has now been replaced. The images you sent to us were passed to the owner and you were offered a re clean which I understand you declined. We feel the owner offered to address the issues you raised during your stay but her offered were refused by you. We are sorry the property didn't meet your requirements. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was lovely and was in a good location."

The only negative thing that I have to say is there were no bath towels just a few hand towels which we found in a cupboard, we had to buy some. Also there could be better signage on the outside wall as the courtyard is not that noticeable from the road. However, these were minor inconveniences and would recommend staying here to anyone.

  • "Assumed that the provision of bed linen, etc."

meant towels were included. As there were no towels this obviously wasn't the case but wonder what the 'etc.' included. Also, wardrobes obviously intended for children which meant hanging trousers/long skirts on the outside rather than inside - and I'm only 5'1"! As a plus, the kitchen is very well appointed.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mill Court."

The house was spotlessly clean for our arrival, it had everything we needed and had comfy lounge furniture and beds. Good location for walking into Brixham and for exploring the local area. Parking is a little tight, we found it best to reverse out onto the road with the help of a passenger guiding you. We would happily stay again.

The less good: Obviously being where it is situated it is a little dark , the frying pans need replacing , several light bulbs were out , loose light fitting in the kitchen, the TV reception was bad, parking is tight.

  • "Third stay at this cottage."

Clean and tidy. Ideal location and off road parking which is rather difficult to find in Brixham. I would suggest that you simply follow the neighbours advice and let him sort out the rubbish collection . I was on holiday and if someone offers to sort out t my rubbish then it saves me having to bother.

Very clean and superb location in centre of Brixham. Only negative is that the parking space is rather small however fits an average size car and the lounge is a little dark. Otherwise a great cottage with great amenities

Cottage is very comfortable with recliner sofa and comfy beds. Berry Head is a 5 minute drive away which was perfect to walk the dog. Only slight complaint would be the parking is very small and tight, you have to reverse out onto the main road which is a bit tricky.

  • "Lovely well maintained cottage in the heart of Brixham, private off road parking is a bonus."

The area is wonderful for walking with many places to visit. Dartmouth 15 mins way, Totnes 30 minutes all worth a visit. Although the weather was not the greatest in the first part of out week, the cottage was warm and very comfortable to read and relax. In the later half of the week the weather was wonderful and so was the venue, Brixham itself is a wonderful place to be, plenty of things to do and great places to eat down in the harbour and beach areas. We are looking forward to returning next autumn.

The cottage was lovely and very clean and cosy. When we arrived we had been left a bottle of wine and some chocolate which was a lovely gesture. Lovely kitchen and the beds were amazingly comfortable - it was also nice and cool when we got back after a hot summery day. The only 'niggle' was the parking; we have a long car (Insignia with a tow bar) and it was a squash to get it into the carpark - however, the redeeming feature was that there was off-road parking so it outweighed the niggle!

About the location

BRIXHAM

Dartmouth 5 miles; Paignton 6 miles; Torquay 8 miles.

Brixham is a working fishing harbour located on the southern side of Torbay, the area known as The English Riviera, famed for its sunny mild climate all year round. The focal point of the harbour is a life size replica of The Golden Hind, Sir Francis Drake’s ship. The prettiest part of Brixham has small cottages in hilly narrow winding lanes leading to the harbour where all the activity is centred. Home to Britain’s largest fishing fleet which regularly lands their catch in the harbour, Brixham fish market sells to major restaurants in the UK. Brixham is the ideal destination for a traditional holiday with many family attractions around Torbay including two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo and many regattas and maritime events throughout the year. There are a host of safe cycle trails in the area, the South West Coastal Path and some of the best golf courses in the region. A good mix of relaxation or action, to suit all ages, where you are never far from the sea.
