The property

Set in the seaside town of Brixham, within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is this charming stone cottage, Compass Point.

The property is a short walk down to the harbour and is well-appointed with a spacious and inviting feel, well-suited to families and friends looking to explore the wonderful region of South Devon.

You will find a spacious twin room and a master king-size bedroom benefitting from its own en-suite shower room, whilst the remaining bedrooms share a ground-floor wet room with a bath and an open shower inside.

Follow the steps up to the first floor where you will find a handy cloakroom with a WC, as well as a double bedroom.

Walk through to the kitchen/diner which features stunning granite worktops and charcoal units, housing all the necessary appliances for cooking up a storm, whilst the large dining table provides plenty of space for a family gathering.

You will find a lovely sitting room adjacent to the kitchen with a large bay window overlooking Brixham town and its picturesque harbour, giving you the sense of a truly remarkable seaside escape.

The town centre of Brixham has a selection of pubs and restaurants for sampling some fine local cuisines for those evenings you don't fancy cooking.

A short drive away is the Churston Golf Course where keen sport enthusiasts can enjoy a friendly game, with courses to suit those of all skill level.

Explore the beautiful South Devon AONB and even join the South West Coast Path for picturesque views and sightseeing opportunities.

If it's a spot of history you're looking for the National Trust property of Coleton Fishacre House rests within 24-acres of landscaped gardens.

Brixham is a working fishing harbour located on the southern side of Torbay, the area known as The English Riviera, famed for its sunny mild climate all year round. The focal point of the harbour is a life size replica of The Golden Hind, Sir Francis Drake’s ship. The prettiest part of Brixham has small cottages in hilly narrow winding lanes leading to the harbour where all the activity is centred. Home to Britain’s largest fishing fleet which regularly lands their catch in the harbour, Brixham fish market sells to major restaurants in the UK. Brixham is the ideal destination for a traditional holiday with many family attractions around Torbay including two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo and many regattas and maritime events throughout the year. There are a host of safe cycle trails in the area, the South West Coastal Path and some of the best golf courses in the region. A good mix of relaxation or action, to suit all ages, where you are never far from the sea.
