The property

Limpet Cottage is a terraced cottage situated in a quiet no through road in Brixham, Devon.

It has fantastic views across Brixham, a few minutes walk from the independent shops, bars and restaurants at Brixham harbour.

Limpet Cottage is set over three storeys, with an upside down layout.

There are steep steps leading up to the property and would be unsuitable for guests with limited mobility.

Inside there are two bedrooms: one first floor double with an Edwardian fireplace, and third floor twin with an en-suite basin and WC.

There is a first floor family bathroom with wonderful stained glass windows, and utility room with doors leading out into the garden.

Upstairs has an open-plan living room with a fully-equipped kitchen, dining area and a sitting area with comfortable seating.

To the rear of the property there is a garden on a raised level with a patio area, as well as a second raised level with asphalt turf which acts as a barbecue area.

Take advantage of this magnificent location and visit Breakwater Beach, which is a blue flag beach and one of the cleanest beaches on the English Riviera.

Coleton Fishacre is a short drive away and is a country home dating back to the Jazz Age.

It was the home of the D’Oyly Carte family and has a magical 30 acre garden, with views across the sea, paths which weave through glades past tranquil ponds.

For the history enthusiasts, visit Brixham Heritage Museum which is housed in the old police station and provides an intriguing place to visit for the whole family.

Limpet Cottage is the perfect getaway for small families.

About the location

Dartmouth 5 miles; Paignton 6 miles; Torquay 8 miles.

Brixham is a working fishing harbour located on the southern side of Torbay, the area known as The English Riviera, famed for its sunny mild climate all year round. The focal point of the harbour is a life size replica of The Golden Hind, Sir Francis Drake’s ship. The prettiest part of Brixham has small cottages in hilly narrow winding lanes leading to the harbour where all the activity is centred. Home to Britain’s largest fishing fleet which regularly lands their catch in the harbour, Brixham fish market sells to major restaurants in the UK. Brixham is the ideal destination for a traditional holiday with many family attractions around Torbay including two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo and many regattas and maritime events throughout the year. There are a host of safe cycle trails in the area, the South West Coastal Path and some of the best golf courses in the region. A good mix of relaxation or action, to suit all ages, where you are never far from the sea.
